Oh man, I loved Nook Logan. He did some crazy stuff on base path I remember, yet could never steal consistently. That was during my weird time of liking random players like him and Daryl Bootland on the Wings. I think Nook ended up getting busted for roids, didnt he?
Yep. On December 13, 2007, Logan was identified in the Mitchell Report as a client of Kirk Radomski, who distributed banned performance-enhancing substances to MLB players. He would later admit that he used Human Growth Hormone (HGH), a legal substance, banned by Major League Baseball, in order to recover from his injury in the minor leagues.
Allegedly made serious gains athletically his SR year of HS. At least that's what I read from some people in the lead up to the draft. At this point, that kind of seems like an undersell.
Derek Hill with a nice gap triple. If he could even hit at an average level, he could be a nice solid player
Heard that lol. But it seems like Hill is a lot older than he is because he was drafted out of HS. Still 24, can really field and showed some little pop last year in minors. I think he has a chance to contribute to this team. But "all star potential talent" is pretty funny
Turnbull is mowing through this order. Although a tigers lineup minus Cron, Schoop and Miggy is pretty rough
Came up lame after his triple. Gibby mentioned maybe something with his knee. He played a half inning i think after before being pulled, so hopefully not too bad
Does this guy have dirt on Avila or something? How is he still employed by the news? He brings zero value
Gibby talking fangraph projections like those would be what the prospects stats would actually be as reason not to play young guys this year...
Was that Torkelson that misplayed that routine ground ball at 3rd? Move his ass back to 1st you idiots. They ruled it a hit too.
How do you pronounce Schoop name? Announcers keep saying it like Scope Gardenhire in his interview keeps saying it like Shoe-p
Turnbull has really good stuff. I don't think he'll ever have the command to be a top starter, but he's got a real chance to be a high level reliever down the road if he stays healthy. And it's pronounced Scope. Pro sports nicknames are stupid and Gardenhire is carrying on in that tradition.
