Ruined in 4th by what surely should have been an error where Goodrum fucked up a relatively routine grounder
The number of opportunities we've blown with runners on and 0/1 out the last two days is really frustrating
Listened to the radio guys yesterday and they were saying Mize will be an opener in June - what’s the deal with limiting his innings already?
wins and losses are not important. Almost all of these losers in the lineup will not be around when we are good again. Just need Mize, Skubal, Turnbull, Boyd, and Uranus to pitch well rest of season
Did your side only have one replay view of that play at 3rd? I don’t know how in the world there was only one angle
Are there some restrictions due to COVID in terms of number of cameras/angles? It does seem odd that there wasn't anything from the dugout angle.
Honestly, not sure. The announcers kept saying New York had all the angles so I assumed there’s some standard that every stadium had. But then they kept showing the one angle from behind home plate over and over.
Victor Reyes botched a play in CF. He’s the same player as Jones, but a worse defender. Avila had to get his boy Victor back on the team though.
At 93 pitches I wouldn’t probably put Skubal back out there, but it would be nice to see him get another inning.
Anyone have a BA subscription that can paste their recent mock draft. Sounds like they have the high school SS going top 3, with Detroit taking House
Law Spoiler 1. Pittsburgh Pirates: Henry Davis, C, Louisville Still wide open here — Davis, Marcelo Mayer, Jordan Lawlar, and, with decreased likelihood right now, Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker. That’s the rough order of probability of those five names for pick 1-1 right now. 1. Texas Rangers: Jordan Lawlar, SS, Jesuit College Prep (TX) I hear two conflicting rumors on Texas. One is that they want someone who can get to the majors fast — Davis or one of the two Vandy arms. The other is that they can’t pass on Lawlar, a local kid with some exceptional tools, and whom team president Jon Daniels is said to have seen in person multiple times. 3. Detroit Tigers: Marcelo Mayer, SS, Eastlake (CA) High School I’ve heard Mayer is their main target, and if he’s gone, they could go with the top high school pitcher in the draft, Jackson Jobe.
Jobe would be kind of shocking based on all the stuff leading up to this point, but I could be talked into that if Mayer is gone. The reports on his stuff are really good. It's kind of interesting that Law is implying we're not really interested in Lawlar. Sucks the draft was pushed back a month and we still have to wait another 6+ weeks.
