I'm not going to pretend to tell which HS ss is better than the others so im relying on scouts for them. So I wouldn't hate it
Got milb TV, these erie games are kind of fun to watch Bottom 8 tied at 2 greene single and torkelson HR to go up 4-2 Tork had a 2b earlier in game too
Erie has always been a smaller park. WM and Lakeland are pretty big, I think, and it hasn't been uncommon over the years for our guys to really pick up power numbers when they get to AA.
Yep, WM notoriously has been a pitcher friendly park where pitchers numbers are inflated and hitters generally struggle especially in HR department (park and usually first time with wood bat). No lack of power in AA. Think Stewart hit close to 30 HR in Erie in a season
Age also has something to do with it. Low A isn't going to have as many HRs usually because guys are younger and not as good, too.
The tired schtick is you being thirsty enough for validation to keep looking up how some scrub in the low minors, who none of us will ever hear of again otherwise, is hitting so you can told-you-so from some meaningless throwaway debate from two years ago.
Don’t need validation. I simply asked if he was still tired. mans he was a 2nd round pick. Yes I keep up on the scrubs in the minors. Deal with it.
He was in a bit of a slump before the other guys got promoted. Really, really hoping he and Torkelson light it up and end the season in Toledo. At least one of them needs to make the squad out spring training.
And as far as the Quintana thing, based on my 2 minutes of searching here is the extent of that conversation that apparently needs to be revisited over and over again.
Yeah, I think we were taking Greene no matter what that year except for possibly if Vaughn had fallen to us because of the connection we had to his HS team (which isn't really a great reason to take a guy with the 5th pick, but seems to be working out so far).
You're belaboring the shit out of it. We've all had bad takes. Your need to keep bringing this one up is much worse than the original take, which apparently you made up and attributed to MG2. Give it a fucking rest.
I was thinking early how much we are going to be screwed come August/September when Mize/Skubal/ Manning reach their innings cap for the year. We have almost no pitching depth in AAA.
Grossman has been cold. Hitting in the .230s now. Think Schoop and Mize at minimum ahead of him. Baddoo has actually played better than him for a good chunk now but he probably doesn't play enough. I think schoop has a good shot, veteran and can play multiple positions so they can put him on bench and throw him in late in a few spots
Manning with a very efficient five innings today. He should be able to for at least one more should Hinch so choose.
