Any chance that Castellanos can play a passable first base and would you guys take a very minimal return. I am desperate for a right handed bat and with my first choice Encarnacion off the board I can't think of any rentals better than your guy.
He was called up and batted .040 in 15 ABs then sent down. He’s batting .330 in AAA so yeah he’s prob a AAA player not even AAAA
He also plays in a ridiculously hitter-friendly league and has a .417 BABIP. I like the guy and think he could be a 4th OF potentially, but I don't think there's a whole lot there.
He's probably a AAAA type, but the Tigers could have definitely found an excuse to keep him over any number of shitty relief pitchers.
This has us finishing with. 2nd worst record in league. LFG https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2019-mlb-predictions/
Boyd giving up a bunch of dingers again isn't good for us, whether you want to tank or not. He needs a couple good starts again to show he's not falling back to what he was before this year if we want to get enough to make a meaningful trade with him.
I’m not sure out scouting or player developments are good enough for that to happen. 5 years seems most likely to me.
By Avila gone, I want every guy/scout in organization gone. If we hit on Greene, and we are probably picking top 2-3 the next 2 years as well. Plus you figure we start spending money at some point too. If Avila sticks around, we will never be good
Currently moved up to the 3rd spot picking in next year’s draft. 2 games back from KC and 6.5 from Baltimore.
Anyone know why after going 43-119, we picked 2nd the following draft? Was it not be worst record in the early. 2000s? Was there a lottery?
Boyd could have a 1.00 ERA with 15 K/9 and you wouldn't want your team to trade for him because you never want your team to trade for anyone
