What’s your prediction? We are half way through the season with 27 wins. I think less than 50 wins is a realistic possibility. LFG
It was limited to "since 1961" although you'd need to go back to the early 50's to find a couple years that would make that list.
This is the Fangraphs write-up on Campos, for those who either didn't click or didn't see the blurb...
When you’re a shit organization who hasn’t developed or scouted any positional prospects, im going to go with Tigers have no idea what they’re doing, and this guy will end up sucking ass.
This is a sad day for the Tigers organization. We now have an owner that doesn’t give a shit about winning, and is setting the franchise back another 5 years. Nobody in their right mind would look at his body of work since he was hired, and think that deserves an extension. Our prospects suck outside of a couple of guys (one he didn’t draft, and one got by being first pick) Our low A team that is loaded with draft picks from past two years has a worse record than the major league club. He decided to spend his first big free agents on Zimmerman, Pelfrey, Mark Lowe, Aviles. He gave $6 mil this year to that heaping pile of shit Mercier. Traded the best pitcher in franchise history, and got back no premier players.
Apparently Al hasn't been talking to Vinegar Strokes and smeegsgreen in the streets, and both of you need to up their fan mail game.
Avila said Casey Mize threw 46 pitches for the Gulf Coast League team today. I checked box score, and he’s not listed. Anyone know what he’s talking about? MG2
Must have been a simulated game or some type of intersquad thing with one of the two GCL teams. The other one played a game today, so it must have been an unofficial thing.
On the same day Avila's extension was announced, the Tigers' top four minor league teams played five games (Toledo had a DH). They were shut out in three of them, and WM was held to 1 run as they went 0-5 on the day. That sounds about right.
Yet we have an old reject as our manager, and players who openly admit they don’t believe in that shit
I would pay Jeff Riger to ask Cabrera what his thoughts were on this. Cabrera would probably have no clue what WAR is and explode on him.
