911 call from when she escaped
It took deputies 30 min to arrive? Where the fuck was she found? 7th ward New Orleans?
It's a pretty remote place
30 minutes is pretty expected response time to get a sheriff deputy to where I live
That’s fair. Guess I’m used to bigger city living
Takes a lot longer than 3months to break down a hostage to the point where you can leave them alone without fear they will escape.
How long on average, in your experience?
Guy looks like what I would imagine ALE looks like
Kept my dick from running away after beating it for years.
He is the apex incel.
Real hot take there from the ex.
She should get a lot more than that
Dbl is ready to charge her as an accomplice.
That would be quick in detroit
Warped Jake Patterson, 21, dated the 'shy, geeky' girl in ninth grade but became so embittered when they broke up he allegedly slashed the tires on her mom's car.
The balding introvert was never able to convince any other girls to go out with him after that, according to classmates at Northwood High School in Minong, Wisconsin.
That is some incredible journalism
« The ex-girlfriend, 21, says she does not want anything more to do with Patterson, who is accused of shooting dead James and Denise Closs before holding their daughter prisoner at his family's secluded woodland cabin.«
She comes across as a complete bitch. No reason not to give the guy a second chance.
I hate that introvert is used all the time
It paints the picture that all introverts are crazy
Also a Facebook group has made $51,000 in donations for her. $76,000 plus 75% of the highest earning parent's Social Security as well.
As a not so proud member of the balding family I can’t say I am too happy about this story.
Jayme Closs Enjoys Lunch with Grandfather Who Vowed to Buy Her a 'Big Steak' Once She Was Found
“We’re so blessed! Grandpa said since day one he was gonna buy Jayme a big steak when she was found!!” the photo was captioned by Closs’ family friend, Jennifer Halvorson.
“Well here it is he bought her steak and they had lunch together at his house!!” Halvorson’s caption read.
who made that steak? Truman?
The poor girl has been through enough.
Barron sheriff: Investigators looking into purported letter from Jake Patterson
Barron sheriff: Investigators looking into purported letter from Jake Patterson
BARRON - Officials are looking into a letter purported to be from Jake Patterson, the man prosecutors say kidnapped 13-year-old Jayme Closs and murdered her parents.
The internet tabloid Radar Online claimed on Monday to have obtained a copy of a letter in which Patterson appeared to reply to someone who had written him. Patterson is being held at the Polk County Jail on a $5 million cash bond as he awaits arraignment on March 27.
In the letter, Patterson thanked the person for writing him and said his family still supports him, even though he doesn't "deserve it." He noted that he went from never committing a crime to "doing the worst thing a human can do."
"Just one big f*** up haha," he wrote.
Patterson also mentioned Jayme in the letter, decorating her name with hearts. He said the two of them cooked together. At the bottom of the page is a drawing of a cross.
Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said the letter "appears" to be from Patterson, but he couldn't say with certainty when contacted by a reporter Tuesday. He said investigators are working to ensure the letter didn't violate Patterson's bond, which prohibits him from contacting Jayme or the Douglas County residents who helped her following her escape last month.
As long as it's not a bond violation, Patterson has the legal right to write whoever he wants, Fitzgerald said.
“He can send you a letter all day long," he said. "Nothing I can do about it.”
Fitzgerald said investigators believe the letter was mailed to an out-of-state address. Polk County Sheriff Brent Waak declined to comment.
Just one big fuck up
I honestly thought this was an onion article

Full letter from Jake Patterson to KARE 11 on kidnapping of Jayme Closs
This transcript includes Raguse’s questions in bold and Patterson’s responses to each question.
Hi, IDK if I’ll actually send this. I’ll answer some of your questions, some I can’t(?) [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION] I won’t put a lot of details anyways.
Question 1: Why did you confess when you were caught, and why did you confess in such detail?
1. I knew when I was caught (which I thought would happen a lot sooner) I wouldn’t fight anything. I tried to give them everything, [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION] (wasn’t completely honest) so they didn’t have to interview Jayme. They did anyways and hurt her more for no reason.
Question 2: What is your plan now? Plead guilty or take the case all the way to trial?
2. Plead guilty. I want Jayme and her relatives to know that. Don’t want them to worry about a trial. Was actually going to on the 6th, but in a case like this it’s not really allowed? So the judge moved it to the 27th of March.
Question 3: What led you to want to kidnap a girl in the first place?
3. It’s not black and white. [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION]
Question 4: Do you have any remorse or regrets for the things that you did?
4. Huge amounts. [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION] I can’t believe I did this.
Question 5: What was your long-term plan if Jayme had not escaped that day?
5. Won’t say. [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION] It was really stupid though looking back.
Question 6: Did you confide in anyone or leave any hints that people failed to pick up on.
6. No. [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION]
Question 7: Did your family really have no clue? How often were family members in your cabin, and how close did they come to discovering Jayme under the bed?
7. No one knew. My dad only came on Saturdays, the same time every day. So it was a routine. Jayme hides on Sat. [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION] My family respects privacy so no one even went in my room.
Question 8: Did you ever return to Barron after the crime or insert yourself in any of the vigils or anything being held in Jayme’s honor? Did you ever get close to her family following the shootings/kidnapping?
8. I stayed away from Barron.
Question 9: How closely did you follow the news coverage, and was Jayme aware of the news coverage and the extent to which people were searching for her?
9. I followed it [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION] through my phone. If something popped up on TV about it, I would change the channel. [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION] Would tell Jayme “I’m sorry, I can’t watch this.” IDK what she knew.
Question 10: When in your life did you realize you were capable of doing something like this? I just watched a 20/20 Special on BTK killer, and he told a reporter he knew as a teen that he wanted to do something like this one day, and he was jealous over attention other killers like Ted Bundy were receiving. Did you feel any of those same thoughts?
10. The cops say I planned this thoroughly, and that I said that. They’re really good at twisting your words around, put them in different spots, straight up lie. Little mad about that. Trying to cover up their mistakes I guess. This was mostly on impulse. I don’t think like a serial killer.
Question 11: What goes through the mind of someone who wants to carry out something like this?
11. At the time I was really pissed. I didn’t “want” to. [PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION] The reason I did this is complicated.
[PEN SCRIBBLE REDACTION] = self redaction lol
No one will believe or can even imagine how sorry I am for hurting Jayme this much. Can’t express it.
[on the back:]
I’m Sorry Jayme! For everything. I know it doesn’t mean much.

The Latest: Wisconsin sheriff draws parallel with Closs case
CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (AP) - The Latest on the slayings of four people in weekend attacks at two homes in Wisconsin (all times local):
Authorities in Wisconsin say a man suspected of killing four people may have been imitating the abduction last year of teenager Jayme Closs.
Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk said Tuesday that investigators may never know exactly what led to the Sunday attacks. He says Ritchie German Jr. killed three of his family members and later killed a 24-year-old woman at another home before killing himself.
Kowalczyk says German used a shotgun to blast his way into the woman's home, and then shot and wounded her parents. Authorities also say German left his car running with items inside that suggested similarities to the Closs case.
They wouldn't elaborate on those items.
Chief Deputy Chad Holum says if abduction was intended, "it did not work out for him."
Jayme Closs was abducted from her parents' home last fall in Barron, just 40 miles (64 kilometers) from the site of the most recent slayings. Jayme's parents were killed, but she eventually escaped from her abductor.
A Wisconsin sheriff says a man suspected in the weekend killings of four people exchanged texts with one of the victims — a woman who apparently didn't know him.
Chippewa County Sheriff James Kowalczyk (koh-WAHL'-chik) says investigators believe 34-year-old Ritchie German Jr. carried out the Sunday attacks at two homes.
Kowalczyk told The Associated Press on Tuesday that investigators believe German fatally shot his mother, brother and brother's 8-year-old son at their home in Lafayette before going to a home in nearby Lake Hallie and killing a 24-year-old woman and wounding her parents. German was found dead there, but authorities haven't said whether he killed himself.
Kowalczyk says German had texted the 24-year-old woman inquiring about a personal relationship, but she texted back saying she didn't know him.
