I attempted for 5 minutes to find her Instagram page, to no avail. I do not possess the perv sleuthing skillz of SugarShaun
What this means is that in essence he has passed, right? It is just a matter of time for the family/doctors to take him off life support, right? FUCK
No.. it’s good but man the energy and rawness of several songs of its dark and hell is hot pass it up. Best song on FOMFBOMB tho
I like It's Dark and Hell is Hot better top to bottom but Slippin is still my shit. How's it goin down super underrated on IDAHIH imo imh
Stop being greedy is and always be my jam. The way he rides the beat while swapping voice inflection as the beat ebbs and flows is just so clean. It’s also one of those songs that just dives into the dirtiness of his life story that I always just gravitate twords. Also his changing of voice inflection to punctuate his verses or add emotion has only ever been rivaled by Kendrick Lamar. He really pioneered that trait in rap music and did it at the highest level.
if his family is ready to say their goodbyes, yes. with his money I'm sure if they actually hold out hope for anything they could keep him on it for a substantial period of time but barring what you might call an actual miracle he is gone and only currently alive because of machines.
One of the hottest things he did I ever heard is this random track from a Funkmaster Flex compilation. Goes hard af
That tweet and the subsequent barstool tweet have been deleted. Someone jump the gun? I know it's inevitable anyway, RIP DMX
My wife, my kids (uh-huh), the life that I live (uh-huh) Through the night, I was his (uh-huh), it was right, but I did (Uh-huh) My ups, and downs (uhh), my slips, my falls (uhh) My trials and tribulations (uhh), my heart, my balls (uhh) My mother, my father, I love 'em, I hate 'em (uhh!) The guns, knives and bats, everytime we scrap The hustlin, the dealin, the robbin, the stealin (uhh!) Little did I know, that the Lord was ridin with me The dark, the light (uhh), my heart (uhh), the fight (uhh) The wrong (uhh!), the right (uhh!), it's gone (uhh!), aight?
I love watching live concert clips and I always give this a watch every so often. The way he captivates the crowd and the energy they give back is insane.
DMX was once the biggest rapper on the planet. He made other (now) big rappers look light on CD sales. DMX also had the hardest record and the best club record at the same time. Party Up still goes.
I used to fly on the last flight of Sunday nights from Jax to Atlanta to Greenville for work. I’m sitting at the gate 10 minutes before my flight, and I hear someone growling “GRRRR....” I turn around and DMX is growling at people in the Atlanta airport to get out of the way as hes being chauffeured on one of those motor carts. Fast forward, I ended up right in front of him as we were exiting the plane in Greenville. I spent the entire escalator ride running through something cool to turn around and say. I chickened out. Probably for the best.
DMX released two #1 records in the same year. Jay-Z got bigger later but when he dropped this whoa, he was the king of this year.
he followed up one of the best and most successful rap albums with the line "I got blood on my hands and there's no remorse, I got blood on my dick because I fucked a corpse" It went #1. it was the best album of the year.
...And Then There Was X was the first Parental Advisory CD I ever bought. Got it when I was at the mall with my aunt. Parents finally heard me playing it 6 months later and immediately took it. I listened to the album not too long ago and was laughing/embarrassed at the thought of my parents listening to the explicit ass album their 11 year old son had been playing.
Seriously though, this is the track that I listen to on repeat. Something about the beat and everything I can never get out of my head.
Slippin is an interesting and great song but I am sorry for non-DMX fans but it is not near his best songs. He was made to make this song.
