Underoath’s first three releases are great - Acts of Depression, Cries of the Past, Changing of Times
Been listening to a fair amount of Emo lately: Suis la Lune, Saetia, Youth Novel, Moss Icon, Nous Etions, Vi som alskade varanda sa mycket, Envy, Via Fondo, Funeral Diner, Ampere
definitely check out some of those other acts (if you aren’t familiar with them already) if you like Saetia!
I know this isn’t emo, but it falls in the same time frame as a lot of the bands that have been posted and I’ve been listening to a lot of them lately. This is my favorite:
I think I remember this being an unpopular opinion here but, stumbled across some old blink and I've been listening all morning. Love them.
I give many of the shit bands posted in here no benefit of the doubt. Cute Is What We Aim For never listened to Joan of Arc.
I wouldn't mind if you took me in my sleep tonight I wouldn't even put up a fight I wouldn't care if you took it all away today I'm sure I wouldn't even miss the pain But I know I've got to live my life And roll around on the ground and feel the strife And realize along the way that I'm nothing more Than a grain of salt in the salt of the earth And everything is grace So come on with the darkness Come on with the fear 'Cause I've got to start somewhere And it might as well be here When I'm finally naked and standing in the sunlight I'll look back at all of this selfishness and foolish pride Laugh at myself Laugh at myself Laugh at myself Laugh at myself Laugh at myself
I mean, I love SDRE too. I just didn’t want to thumb through 6 pages of Cute is What We Aim For-tier posts. Kudos to you for posting actually good emo bands.
If we’re blurring emo and pop punk, the tightest mainstream modern band of that ilk is The Story So Far. Parker Cannon rules.
Also, Hot Mulligan is so great (teel) and I’m very sad I can’t make any of the stops of this tour with LTJ and NFG.
Title fight isn’t anything like the story so far Parker cannon also drop kicked a girl off of stage once
I know, and I like Title Fight a lot. Floral Green is such a great album. But I don’t think the later Title Fight stuff is all that different than the rest of what’s out there.
I’m not sure if you’re saying that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I actually hate Turnover’s progression. Most everything after Peripheral Vision is nearly unlistenable for me.
