Honestly abusing the classification system for political purposes might be worse than asking a foreign government to interfere in our elections because it does irreparable longterm damage to the implied trust between the people and the state in a democratic society wrt things that by definition cant be public knowledge. Asking a foreign government to conduct a propaganda campaign against Biden really only affects 2020 as long as the two parties revert to the usual level of corruption (or "investment" if you prefer) Maybe that's just my rarely-used political science degree begging to be heard.
