He never goes with us on trips, so this was his first real car trip and I'm proud of how well he did.
This is a really tough one guys. This is Clarice, 7 week old Rotty puppy that The Pixel Fund just rescued this week. What you can't tell in the picture is that Clarice's jaw is broken in two places and is also degloved. What this means is that the skin and muscle has been ripped away from the jaw itself. She also lost at least a few teeth in the process. We don't know all the details, but we believe she was either kicked or thrown. The Animal Control officer who took her in knew that a puppy with such extensive injuries would be put down immediately, so she bent the rules to keep the dog at her house for a couple days, and then called us to save her. And that we did, she is at our vet's office now with meds to manager her pain and keep her calm until Monday when she can go to the dentist and get the jaw set and the skin/muscles reattached to the jaw. There's a pic in the spoiler because it is really tough to see, its blurry but you can tell what's up. Spoiler: Warning somewhat graphic The pink you can see is her actual jaw and the surrounding flesh, her mouth is closed. The black part hanging down is the skin, muscle and tendons that became detached during the injury. Our founder picked her up yesterday, and this woman has seen literally every example of human cruelty to animals, and she said she almost puked when she saw it. I'm crying just sitting here typing it. Despite the injury, Clarice is loving and affectionate and wants attention, pretty amazing after what she has been through. Anyway, this is going to be an expensive one, I know i've asked before and y'all came through in a huge way so I hate asking again, but if there's room in the holiday budget please consider helping if you will. I've set up another GoFundMe to help raise some money, as always I appreciate anything that can be done, much love to the TMB Best Thread fam. https://www.gofundme.com/clarice-the-abused-rottweiler-pup
Need to think of a name. Kinda want to steal Kaiser from wes tegg , though I don't want people to think I'm a Proud Boy
Don't ask how but dad took Rosco in to get the offical bad news diagnosis last Monday and the MFer doesn't have any fluid in his heart anymore, XRays come back with no cancer of any kind, and he's back to regular I'm gonna chase some squirrels energy levels. Fucking great news to get over the holidays. Still gave him a loaded plate of food at Thanksgiving
Still funny to go with a Danish name, but I agree that German names are better. I like Klaus as a dog name.
Got to hang out with these pups today at an event, Lab/Mastiff mix, almost 20 pounds at 10 weeks, we expect they will be huge, 80-90 pounds. Some of the most beautiful pups we've ever had IMO
You got to fill out an application on the website, I would do a Skype home visit, I'm assuming you own your home so we wouldn't have to check with your landlord, and just do a vet check to make sure that your existing animals are being taken care of, none of which I would be concerned you wouldn't pass with flying colors.
The adoption fee is $355, covers all the shots they can have up to when they go home, getting them fixed and microchipped.
we actually do have a baby who is going to have to lose a leg when she is old enough to do the surgery. Otherwise I don't think we have any 3-legs running around. Got one with hepatitis and autoimmune disorder, got one with a traumatic brain injury that causes back leg issues, the broken jaw pup that is recovering now, and several litters recently with some pups that were not viable though. Our medical costs are gonna be astronomical for Q4.
Adoption forms say 'Terrier Mix' but she's very beagley with her ears and coat. They found her on a farm in Texas with 20 some odd other dogs. 12 weeks old and already sleeping all night in her crate no accidents.
This picture was taken May 2016. Lost Jake in the middle June 2. Lost Jafar on the left Feb 17. Lost Kain on the right today. They go fast. Love 'em hard.
Connor and Lily escaped my yard yesterday while I was taking a shit. No idea how long they were gone before I noticed. Went out looking for them. Got a call from someone in my neighborhood like 30 minutes later that they found them roaming. They were probably close to a half a mile away from my house.
My 7 month old ate my son’s $200 headphones obviously I had to buy him another pair. So my 2 bulldogs have cost me $1800 in the last month or so good times
Damn that's a cute picture. We went to the emergency vet last night, our pup was symptomatic of impaction, coming out both ends. Last time she ate a towel and it had to be surgically removed. Xrays came back negative last night, so for $510 we got some pills, subdermal injection, and a warning that more diarrhea was imminent. So far, she's doing much better. Scarfed up breakfast and is crashed out on the end of the couch.
