She initiates a lot of aggressive play verging on not play. She also takes every bone or toy that he shows interest in. He seems to avoid her, hangs in his crate if he’s not playing with us. Think they’ll do just fine being split.

watched a youtube video and almost got brave enough to try doing it saturday morning, but then i bitched out and just took her to the vet and paid them the $10 to do it instead.
Tosu has come down with a little hack/cough, and it has me worried. It's not too often, and sounds more like he has hair stuck in his throat, but he has vomited a little bile a couple times. Earliest we can get him to the vet is Thursday. Going to keep our eyes on him and if it gets worse we'll take him to the emergency vet.
I know kennel cough is a big thing right now at our dog park, but it's not a violent/odd sounding cough. Anything and everything has a cough symptom. Fingers crossed it's cleared up some when I get home.

Oh no, shepherds are notorious for it. They have more glands than other dogs and the dense hair and the way their tail is carried causes it more often than others. They're predisposed to it.

My buddy and his wife's boxer just had a litter and I'm tempted to get one... the thought of going through the first 6 months again right now with everything going on is a little stressful, but my girl and my gf's dog could use another pup around the house, especially her lab as he's getting old and the little one would probably perk him up (and annoy the shit out of him).
Tosu has a mild case of Kennel Cough. They gave him some cough meds and said to keep him isolated for another week or two. Also want him to gain 10 more pounds. Gonna try mixing some wet food with his dry food.

Have switched him back to Core Wellness. It’s what he had as a puppy. Thought I’d try switching the flavors so it’s like something new each time.
