#New England Patriots
Tua-14 here we come
well,we almost made a good coaching hire pre-Jimmy Johnson. So close.
Really wanted Richard. Hope this guy somehow turns us down, because this is a joke
This pleases me
Who did you want
Shoulda hired Mike Shula.
Or anyone that isn’t from the belichick tree
Who the hell cares?
Well uhhh Clarence..
one less thing to do in miami
The meme where the guy (labeled NFL TEAM) is holding the hand of a woman (labelled CURRENT COACH) but starting at a different woman (labelled BILL BELICHICK ASSISTANT)
““What do you have to lose” - Donald Trump”
- Brian Flores
I'm ok with it. I wanted Richard but I'll give Flores an open mind.
I know the NE coaching tree is concerning, but it's really kind of a small sample size when you consider that most hires fail regardless of coaching tree. It's entirely possible, I'd say likely, that there's nothing about the NE organization that precludes their assistants from being good HCs.
Plus Bill O'Brien has had some success and if you want to just talk about the Belichick tree, you can't exclude Saban.
Think about that.
Learning from the best coach in nfl history has some sort of negative impact on the coaches ability. Not their ability to be a head coach. It’s that they got the stink of the best organization in NFL history.
If he sucks it’s because he sucks. It will have nothing to do with being a coach under bill belicheck.
I’m pretty meh on Flores. And some of those cats are vastly overstating his scouting acumen.
Come cry in my arms, LeonardWashington
I’m p butthurt about this I’m not gonna lie
Let’s hire Troy brown while we are at it
why not richard? i can’t believe he hasn’t been hired
Because we are a terribly run organization
I think the theory is that Belichick is the best coach ever and touches everything, so his assistants look more accomplished than they are when their best skill is getting hired by Belichick. I'm sure some of them are good coaches in their own right, but the track record isn't good even when considering that most NFL hires fail. It isn't that working for Belichick makes them worse, it's that they wouldn't look good working for anybody else.
But Bill O'Brien is a good head coach. Maybe Flores is like him, rather than Crennel, Weis, McDaniels, Mangini, and Patricia.
But that has nothing to do with Belichick.
That means the owner hiring has a poor process for hiring and/or hiring coaches is a crapshoot.
Totally different this time
Shouldn’t that be the mission every single time?
lmao this is Jack Parkman’s fault for shitting on the jets so much
Isn't every first time head coach being hired on potential over results? The Patriots' rankings in team defense and sacks and any other stat don't matter, either, unless he's going to be his own DC.
I like this hire much better than theirs, especially after yesterday report about him taking some of his defensive guys from Miami to NY
Who is left to fill out the staff?
USC gonna have a nasty buyout in his contract
#Green Bay Packers this guy any good?
Tweet not showing up but I assume Graham? He was only here a year. Overall in general the consensus was positive on Pettine's coaching but the talent was so awful.
I guess he had a spelling error so deleted it and reposted
