And yeah, only way OUR TEAM OPTIC can qualify is winning this major since they aren't in the super major. I want them to qualify, so then EG and VGJ can both qualify. We need 3 NA teams there to strengthen our odds of chanting USA.
Valve also said they were have a replacement tournament for galaxy battles, but nothing has been said about it in a while. If that happens they could have another shot.
Lion prestige item is out. I like that the 2nd style unlock can be done anytime and not restricted to a quest during battle pass season.
Lion is my favorite support and I already have the other 2 immortals so we’ll see if I end up leveling that high. Last year I got to 357 but I bought extra levels during the summer sale
Fairly. 4 (mostly) single target spells. Though if you're having a really rough game and don't have a blink dagger by 25ish minutes you're kinda just gonna die every teamfight.

He's like the sniper version of a support I think. If your positioning sucks he's one of the hardest to play. If it's decent you'll have a fairly easy go. Guess it depends on the player.
He’s popular because he’s a massive nuker and Finger is a fun spell early if you get kills in your lane and are outleveling their carry.

Misery at least seems legit from the reddit thread. Fear is more unknown. I can't see them kicking Misery if they weren't trying to get a new captain. Fear there didn't work and none of the others seem like legit options. I could see them trying to poach someone from another tier 2 team that isn't getting an invite.
Looking at it now Swindlezz might be their only option if Misery is indeed gone. Pretty much all the other proven english speaking captains are already on a team with an invite or contending for an invite or just wouldn't leave.
Fnatic has such good itemization and strategy, DJ and Universe are so good and PLD is a genius but man I could never trust or root for an EE carried team
IIRC EE has basically stopped drafting and does little shot calling now. Makes me feel more comfortable in them lol.
open qualifiers are Bo1, right? how many teams get through them? it'd be hilarious if VGJ.T knock out EG, Or vice versa, i suppose.
EG, Optic, vgjs and CoL will all be invited to regional qualifiers if there are no roster changes. If misery/fear do leave they have to go through Opens to get to Regionals. Roster changes after lock go through 2 sets of open qualifiers and they are all Bo1. TMB should make an Open Qual team for TI IMO gbr nfm. Would be quite the highlight to play EG in open quals lol. If they lost once in open quals there is always second chance open quals.
Was curious so I looked it up. Not news, but Sumail is the greediest offlaner in the scene by a large margin. He averages 50 more CS than MC and Pasha, 60 more than Chalice, and 30 more than Fata. He's literally averaging 500 gpm the last 3 months in the offlane when EG hasn't even been doing that well. Fear is the one most hurt by that, and is averaging 490 gpm playing usually hard carries heroes. Sumail either needs to go back to playing better late game heroes, or get in the back seat for farm priority.
Don't think I've watch an EG performance as beautiful as game 1 vs. Fnatic for OpTic just now in such a loooooong time.
Not really unproven, but Pajikatt had never won a tournament in like 6 years of being a pro until he joined optic iirc. 2 relatively unkown guys, Zai, and a carry that hadn't really had much success anywhere else. EG: insert Russell Crowe staring through the window gif
What sucks for Optic is in previous years they're probably invited to TI right now. VGJT hasn't done shit in months. Optic has looked leaps and bounds better lately, but because VGJT earned enough points at the beginning of the year, they're still gonna get the invite unless Optic beats VP.
PPD has always been an elite captain/drafter but i think his play has really improved. And yeah, finishing 2nd in the 2nd to last tournament of the season would have probably locked them up for an invite.
