Personally I'd take the first given I play at an mmr where people refuse to end games early. All four of alchs teammates have good aghs upgrades, and not a lot of great options for spell steal.
Side note, as much as I appreciate unselfishness in dota, I hate the "afk farm to give everyone on your team aghs" style of alchemist. (Looks like the guy played that way in Skillet's game, because he was 4 slotted at 53 minutes) Pass em out if the game goes late, but no amount of scepters are better than an alchemist just being 6 slotted and basically unkillable at 35 minutes.
he maxed stun early af i stole it at lvl 6 and took him to half health w/ my W and his max stun, then qop would finish him off it was hilarious
so dotabuff my last game everyone on my team was over 4 losses in a row except me who had 4 wins in a row the other team all had huge win streaks on their accounts thanks gaben
I am almost exactly average http://i.imgur.com/ryJGScN.png https://www.opendota.com/players/254660517
the mmr distribution hasn't changed at all from the one valve released in 2013. Its almost as if an ELO system with a normal distribution and 10 million players won't change. fuck math, how does it work.
How would you respond to commentators that say the 2k today is a drastically better player than 2k from a few years ago?
that's true. A team of 2017 4ks would have dominated the dota world in 2010. but the relative position hasn't changed.
I figured it would increase very slightly as time goes on just because of the few players who are like legitimately 0 mmr and still losing games, thus adding net mmr to the pool. (Which isn't much at all)
people make this argument on reddit all the time "but what about abandons etc" There's been what, 4 billion matches played? there's simply not enough to move the needle
Skillet and Bricktop swap CK for QOP Skillet: "ragetop your CK sets are so ugly" Bricktop: "they're your sets, we switched before loading"
Alright you boys watched 2 cyka games from me. What were my mistakes? I love the hero and have only played it a couple of times before this week, it's super fun and you can pretty much lane or play it as anything but support. I think my big issue was when I went radiance -> SNY -> my next item should always be bkb instead of butterfly or BoTs or mjollnir or blademail.
I should have BoTs into help, but I was stopping our t4 from going down and by the time I died and bought back, I think I would have just fed another death since everyone else was dying off
Treasure 2 has all the good ones anyway. The kotl and necrophos rares are the best of all 3 treasures
reddit is going nuts about the treasure 3s being bugged so maybe you guys have some more coming your way. i got LC and Spectre from my 2 so im pretty happy
The shitter i brought along was too entertaining, I got distracted. Thought the slark aids would help him. I was wrong.
i'm still fucking amazed we won that game oh wait no i'm not, bc i went mid and am an older, whiter sumail
My profile based on averages in my mmr tier: -My actions per minute are too low and I'm not clicking on opponents enough. -Survivability is good with a low average # of deaths -Team fight participation is high -Observer ward purchases are high but I'm not dewarding enough -I don't grab enough runes -
Anyone know how unranked matchmaking actually works? Got matched up with a 4.1K player on their team and we had a 1.7K player (according to their profiles). We won, which makes me wonder if it was a guy who calibrated a long time ago but actually sucks now?
