You need to quit fucking around and letting our guys go to Folmars. Mainly so you can buy them cheap and resell to me cheap.
What's the value of those bad boys and who in the hell would buy them? Or would you just sell them to get melted down?
those are fake. if they were real they'd be worth around 80-100 per to my diamond buyer for the two big ones
Someone brought these in. Sold them to me for $500, Think I'll get 1300ish for them. All are brand new still in original packaging from 1984
Out of curiosity Nole0515 have you ever gotten fooled by a good fake and had to eat shit? Also curious what the best purchase and flip you’ve ever made was if you’re willing to share.
fake watches never. It's something I've always been interested in so luckily it hasnt happened yet. bought a 1961 Fender Jazzmaster for $100 and sold it for $2500
Cosmetically not bad, it wasnt original. but it was not his. A couple years later his ex wife came in looking for her fathers guitar
what level of proof/scrutiny are pawn shop owners required to facilitate to combat these type situations?
We take down the make, model and serial of every item with a brief description and send in a pdf report to the police and a server called leadsonline when we close every night. Then that info is put into a database and its rather easy to look up stolen property. If we were found guilty of knowingly taking in stolen items and put down the wrong model, serial and description. We could lose our license, be fined up to 5k per wrong transaction up to 7 times or go to jail. My advice is to take pictures of all your valuables and their models and serial numbers and keep an excel spreadsheet
This is going to sound like a flame and I don’t mean it to be, but what did clemson win in 2002 that would provide a ring, they were 7-6.
Wikipedia says they lost the tangerine bowl 55-15 to Texas Tech. I honest to god didn’t realize you got a bowl ring for a losing effort. Is this worth much more than scrap?
depends on the fanbase. Anything FSU sells for a lot more than scrap. Not really sure about Clemson. These are worth around 1250-1500 per but for say a natty ring you're looking at 5kish easy
For sure, I can understand how a big time bowl, conference, or national championship ring would have additional value. Really intrigued by who the market for a 2002, 40 point loss, Tangerine bowl ring would be. The stuff that comes through your shop always is very interesting to me.
Only positive from that game is that I learned that a freshman Chuck Whitehurst could take a hit with the best of them. And that mike Leach was an offensive wizard.
Ive got one of the 2001 Gator Bowl. JJ McKelvey's. Really a great looking ring. FSU got one basically just like it for the 2000 Sugar Bowl.
