I know one allegation revolves around a women in her mid-20s grooming and assaulting a 14 year old gamer.
I don't really understand the super smash community but as far as I can tell there is no online play, which means you have a bunch of local tournaments and "super smash houses" where you have a weird mix of kids and awkward adults hanging out. Lots of accusations of some of the male adults (who are mostly sponsored/streamers) plying younger girls with alcohol and having their way.
I know very little about smash, but I believe the most recent version was the first to have online play and it is extremely unstable so even with great internet connections all around, it's laggy as shit. Kind of a problem for a game that is a hand to hand combat game.
If that scene was called “Where’s the Pederast?” it would be the Land of Waldo’s scene from Where’s Waldo.
All of this shit seems weird as fuck. This "Sky House" basically had eight people living in a single room. But at least the other one seemingly had endless CFA nuggets https://www.invenglobal.com/article...ssault-allegations-connected-to-the-sky-house
Smash community is weird, not a lot of big names on that list though. Nairo, ZeRo and ESAM are the only big ones on the offender side, I didn’t read through the accusers.
To make matters worse Smash tournaments notoriously smell like shit because no on there ever showers or uses deodorant https://compete.kotaku.com/smash-players-plead-with-each-other-to-please-for-the-1826150759
Allegedly Dr. Disrespect donated to a friend's (NickMercs) stream over the weekend with the following message: “It’s not the audio… check the records and VODS. Barely laying on a lounge chair right now. I hear everything. The ponytail is still drippin’, and the two-time never slippin’. Twitch needs a scapegoat? I ain’t even trippin’.” https://www.sausageroll.com.au/ente...scapegoat-dr-disrespect-lashes-out-after-ban/
A source close to Twitch has since reached out to us with information regarding Twitch’s decision and, if true, it is, in fact, related to the sexual harassment allegations spreading on Twitter at the moment. However, this is nothing new. The source claimed that girl who Guy ‘Dr. Disrespect’ Beahm had an affair with in 2017 is now “making noise” about it and demanded that the popular Twitch streamer be permanently banned from the platform. “She claims that she’s going to go public with the private messages and everything very soon. Since she’s close to Twitch staff, they’ve known about all of this for quite some time but she’s making a lot of noise about this all of the sudden,” the source revealed to Sausage Roll. Alleged Dr. Disrespect accusers Amanda ‘AvaGG’ Myddleton and Cheney ‘Cray’ Ray (CrayMusic). “She is making him out to be some kind of predator and said it won’t look good that Twitch gave this guy a 20 million dollar contract while previously having knowledge about this,” the source concluded. Guy ‘Dr. Disrespect’ Beahm did seem very distraught when he opened up a message during his final livestream. Fans have not seen him that visibly upset since he made an apology video about cheating on his wife in 2018. Perhaps he thought he had finally moved on and the expression on his face is because he, and his wife, have to relive the trauma all over again. It is strange that Guy was found out to be cheating on his wife, especially considering that the identity of the girl has never been revealed. That may because the girl with whom he cheated was underage at the time and her identity was protected for legal reasons, however most people still believe that it was Twitch partner and musician Cray.
Normally I'd think that was a bullshit website but it's Australian and they love sausage rolls so it's probably a well respected site.
Ok I've learned all I'd like to know about the odd, toxic, pedophilic and morally bankrupt culture of competitive video games.
Which odd, toxic, pedophilic, morally bankrupt culture would you like to learn next? Corporate? Political? Other?
Very curious what kind of messages he's sent. She's seen in a youtube video from twitchcon, with him, where he's berating the vlogger for filming him.
again, if all this with doc is about a new platform he should fire his PR/management team because the damage to his brand among normal folks will potentially never recover
Doc will have to do something pretty heinous for his followers not to tune in. Me included. I don’t give credence to anything that has happened so far. Hard evidence would persuade me. That’s it.
they might watch whatever tv show he had signed a deal for and his commercial advertising power will be diminished though. he was trying to make the ninja leap to like selling merch at walmart.
Ninja tweets an announcement at 1pm. Tim tells his buddies he only has 30 min left, he has something to do at 1. Doc shows as coming online in COD during Tim's stream. itshappening.gif
i'm not talking about doc fans, i'm talking about normal folks who are what gets you into the ninja-tier that he was actively pursuing. yes doc fans will tune back in if it's something dumb but normal folks will likely by a huge margin not even hear about it if its something dumb but they definitely heard about the ban and the drama around it.
