275,000 people are, and have been for the last half hour, staring at a blank screen just to catch a glimpse of the two time
I have no idea what's going on right now and I don't care, but for some reason I need to know what happened.
nothing. He streams tomorrow for first time on YouTube. I assume he’ll play the Twitch still hasn’t let me know card if he even talks about it at all which I highly doubt.
nah, ninja has twitch record at like 680k or something because of Drake youtube live is in the millions bc you have things like spacex video game wise on youtube, lazar beam hit 900k for a fortnite update a couple of months ago
my friend who works at twitch told me tonight, "it isn't a contract dispute. the police are involved, and it involves a minor." but doc's youtube lists all of his sponsors so i have to assume twitch is lying at this point
His friend probably doesn’t know anything, but lol at information only being available to VPs. What if his friend is the law enforcement liaison?
https://twitter.com/DevinNash This guy streams about digital marketing and industry topics and is good friends with a Twitch VP who is on his stream regularly. He said he has no idea what happened, but his friend does and said it’s literally a handful of people inside Twitch and Docs camps and that’s it. Twitch VP: https://twitter.com/EthanEvansVP I occasionally watch some of his career building content, and this guy literally won’t say a word about it.
seems more likely the known pos company twitch keeps making sure the "he did terrible things" rumors stay out there to cover themselves because they know he wont say anything because he's going to sue the fuck out of them
If he was caught up in something terrible (especially with minors) he wouldn't be streaming on YT, and he damn sure wouldn't still have his sponsors. I'm guessing it was some form of contract dispute.
he had just resigned not long before with an enormous deal i continue to find the contract dispute a wild conclusion to draw, what dispute exactly lead to it I guess? he 100% could be streaming on YT since he just signed up like anyone else, the sponsors that still have him listed publicly have been radio silent on everything
yes, and if twitch decided to find a way to back out because of his covid conspiracy stuff literally everything thats happened would make perfect sense.
I dont disagree but there is some context thats important. Doc signed his massive deal effectively as a defensive action by twitch who had watched big streamers leave their platform for large deals at Mixer. Doc has always had a very contentious relationship with Twitch and openly talked shit about them on his very large stream. However, Twitch was kind of stuck. They probably don't like the guy but he is a big draw and they can't have every single big streamer peace out for a big bag from another platform. Then, right after Doc collects a 20 million dollar bag from Twitch (who is probably pissed to be handing over 20 million to a guy they dont particularly like), Mixer goes under and they realize they paid 20 million for effectively no reason but a deal is a deal. I could absolutely see Twitch using any excuse possible to get out of paying that deal now that they stand alone in the space and they don't have to play defense to keep their creators on their platform. That said, you are right, there is a lot of speculation around but it would be hard to believe that if it was something like child porn or sex with minors and the powers that be were aware of that, this guy would be getting air cover.
