    i'm in a 10 person league with WR's getting 1 point per 10 yards receiving. I draft 8th.

Would I be a complete moron for drafting 2 straight WR's??

1 point per 10 yards is standard scoring so yes you would be a moron. I'd go best back available at 8th then in the second i'd go drew brees, larry fitz, andre johnson and maybe randy moss or another back.

thats what I'll most likely do, but i was just throwing it out there to see if anyone else has tried it. I did a couple of mocks and fared decent. Got Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Ronnie Brown and Marion Barber with the first 4 picks.

if you end up with barber on your real team try your best to get felix jones later on. A lot of people are high on him and if he doesnt get hurt he will take carries away from barber

at #8, I'd take these guys, in order:

    Slaton
    Chris Johnson
    Larry Fitz
    Calvin Johnson
    Andre Johnson
    Randy Moss

and then at #13, I'd take

Any of the above 6 that were left
    Brandon Jacobs
    Deangelo Williams
    Brian Westbrook

And you want one RB and one WR out of those two picks. If you don't get a stud Wr with one of those picks, your next pick isn't until #28 and by then, you're picking from WRs who won't be any better than the WRs you can take at #100

    Also,

If you decide to go WR/WR, its not a terrible idea if you can get two of the guys listed above. I wouldn't reach for any other WRs at #13, though. If you did end up with say, a Johnson and Moss, then what you'd want to do is spend 3 of your next 4 picks on high upside young RBs like Ray Rice, Darren McFadden, Marshawn Lynch (championships aren't won in the first 3 weeks), Ryan Grant, etc, etc.

Being a 10 team league, everyone's team is going to be good, so I'd probably take a QB or TE higher than usual as well to try and get some differentiation.

another thing is if you dont get a WR or only have one and your league goes on a WR run, dont give in to the trend, most of the WR's that would be a good pick in your 3 or 4 pick will be gone so take rb's 2 in a row if you have to, chances are you'll get a good one with a starting job just chillin on your bench and someone will give up a good WR for one of your backs if they went WR crazy. Happened in the 10 team draft i was in.

I like your team, not very good RB depth though.

what's the general rule for a 10 team PPR league by round...is it like this?
Round 1-2 RB(maybe QB if your 9th or 10th pick)
Round 3-4 -at least 1 receiver, another RB
Round 5-6- QB, WR, backup RBs
    Round 7-8 WRs

I really prefer non PPR leagues but both of the leagues my friends started are ppr so I'll have to deal

Best player available first 5 rounds. Make sure you get 2 RBs and 2 WRs out of those 5 picks. If you don't take a RB in round 1, take 2 more than you normally would throughout the rest of the draft. High upside guys who you're just looking for one of 3-4 to break out.

That's the simplest way to look at it.

Like your squad, I'd make a couple of adjustments, though.

Drop the backup Defense and TE. You're never going to play Vernon Davis over Greg Olsen and you'll be swapping Defenses 3-4 times during the year probably.

Look for some young RBs and WRs to stash on your bench for a few weeks to see what happens.

i'm definitely dropping the Raiders defense. I was at work with a customer and that was the last pick. I clicked on the wrong thing.
Might hold onto Davis till after Olson's by week to save a move ( we have a limit on the number of transactions you can make during the year)
