I just downloaded the game and just started playing it. Pretty good so far If anybody wants download links with a crack and cdkey let me know and ill hook yall up. Might have to pay 10 bucks to download the files faster but sure beats paying 6 bucks for it and youll have it within a hr or so
gameplay is a lot better but so far I feel overall the characters aren't as good, Varric is hilarious and Merrill and Anders is still just as good as he was in Awakening but nothing touches Ogrhen, Morrigan and Alistair
They need to release a patch for PC stat. Everyone I know is getting terrible performance. Hell I'm only getting 25fps on GTX580 SLI. WTF Bioware fix yo shit
I am thoroughly disappointed. Beat the game and it just ends. In DA1 you accomplished your goal and it ends(makes sense). In this game there never seems to be a real goal accomplished. Maybe DLCs will add to the ending because that just wasn't satisfactory. also the lack of being able to talk to your party members whenever is killin me. I didn't like oblivion at first though so maybe this will grow on me.
i beat him as rogue just run around when your powers arent recharged then charge and do backstab, keep hitting him when he turns around, use evade, and keep running around until they both recharge, then repeat
the more i play this the more i realize this just doesnt feel anything like Origins, sure they have characters and shit from the first game but it doesnt have the same atmosphere Origins had with mass effect they changed a lot of shit from 1 to 2 but it still felt like a mass effect game, DA2 just feels too different. I'm kind of disappointed and i hate how it just...ends
Agreed. I'm beginning to think that they will have an "awakening" type DLC that adds on to the game if not it gives way for DA3 perfectly.
Disturbing trend in recent bioware games, it happened with ME2 and now (apparently) DA2. First game in series is amazing, and does pretty much everything right. Second game tries to appeal to a larger audience, and is dumbed down because of it.
Ea was part of DAO. Another thing I noticed was that all the dungeons were the same and all the caves were the same.
Everything is the fucking same. Just walked into an abandoned house and it is the exact same as another one (both in hightown). All the dungeons have a main room initially a little passage where you have to walk between two fenced in areas and another big room. All the wilderness caves have the same exact "ramp" in each one. Only 4 places to go in the entire game (mine, city, beach, mountain). There's like 5 enemies throughout most of the game and like one NPC to talk to in each region (Nonquest related). I dislike the level up system. Can't give my armor to any of my companions. Theres no point in money as you find all the best stuff. Story is still good but there's no real resolution.
I played for like 15m when it was released but had to put it down and do some work. The reviews on here and online aren't motivating me to get started. definitely, ME2 was amazing
this game is the biggest disappointment of my life in other news an BW employee got caught giving it a 10 on metacritic
some dude clicked his profile, noticed his only review was for DA2 so he googled the user name and found it linked to a government name, the guy googled that named and found him on bioware
the game looks like a fucking cartoon and didnt come close to replicating the dark tone of the first game that made it so great game fucking sucked compared to DAO
spoiler rant Spoiler This is my problem; I don't want to play it again. It is completely linear. The conversation choices can influence friendship or rivalry, but in the end that doesn't even matter. The story has one main choice: side with the mages or the templars. But even that really doesn't matter because they both turn on you. The great thing about DA:O was that the ending could vary greatly depending on your choices. Maybe you could romance a different character every playthrough, but I'm not replaying just to do that. I just don't see how this game has any replay value, excepting that you may want to play as a different class for the skillsets. But even that isn't tempting because you can play around with skill-trees through your party members. From a story-telling standpoint, this is a good second act in a trilogy. They just set up DA3 to be epic. But as a consumer who paid sixty bucks for this game I feel like I got ripped off. cliffs: DAO>DA2
