I've given up on him. Mostly due to the activist and Twitter stuff. His wife is annoying also. I saw him live 3 weeks after he left DBT. 20+ times after.

 

Do you like Jason Isbell? I’ve been a big DBT fan ever since the release of their album English Oceans. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual.

Of course not. He just has become insufferable. I don't care that he's a lefty. I'm sure the vast majority of artists I like are lefty. He was the "pioneer" for vax mandates for concerts which was assinine. Fortunately, it enabled me to get an easy refund on a show ticket I bought and then lost interest in attending. Also doesn't help that his latest album was meh.

Now THAT was a badass album. I saw it live 2 years ago, and I Try to watch it on Netflix every year.

 

Half the arena that left the shows after Tyler's set on that tour not to be taken seriously.

Sturgill literally made fun of them cause the stereotype holds true. If you can only listen to one genre of music you're a fucking idiot who needs to broaden your horizons

 

I saw Sturgill and Tyler in Charleston which was the last show before Covid shut everything down. Great show but half the people left when Sturgill came on. We moved up to the 2nd row and Sturgill put on one of the best and loudest shows I have ever been too. He played Sound and Fury straight through and then some older stuff. Amazing show but even more amazing after learning he probably had Covid and still put on that performance.

The album just wasn't that good. It was "good" b/c it was Sturgill being different/loud
