And then the next line, “it’s not what Birmingham is used to” Didn’t realize you weren’t a big Dawes fan
Show me data of multiple snowfalls in a week in Birmingham in late fall or early spring and then we’ll talk
Changing shit up is there anybody in the LA area or outside the area that is going to Palomino? If so I’ve got you a beer.
I’m gonna be out there when the show is happening but they’re dividing up the sets in an awful way. So many bad choices between good artists. I’m sure it’ll still be amazing though.
Couldn’t believe they did that. It could’ve been magical. It’s not like a jazz fest or something where you have 100s of artists to get booked and scheduled.
I really like Zach Bryan and Orville Peck. Turnpike Troubadors and Isbell on the other side. I’m recruiting folks so I can spread out my positions on the different stages.
Having Bryan and then Turnpike is a fucking crime against humanity. Rest is manageable by my tastes. How far apart are these stages?
The people who complain about their favorite artists political leanings when those artists have always been pretty outspoken politically without a tiny hint of irony are my favorite. Favorite dummies in the world
Enjoyed Isbell at the Palomino Fest. It was the 400 unit minus Shires. They didn’t play anything I hadn’t before but that’s as expected with a 50 minute set and I saw him on this tour a few months ago. Heard some groans around me when they let Sadler play Honeysuckle Blues. Probably a lot more casual fans not familiar with this tours sets and wanted to see as many Isbell songs as they could.
I used to love Rage Against The Machine until they started injecting polotics into everything!!!1!! Stick to music!!
Seems like you are mistaking me for one of those people, but maybe the timing of your post was coincidental
