Truckers dropped an Isbell/Shonna era live show record this morning. ““In the midst of this backdrop, we were asked to play a benefit for The Harvey Foundation, a charity set up in their name, at Plan 9 Records. Our pay was a case of PBR and two bottles of whiskey. There wasn’t a drop left by the end of the encore,” he continues. “They pushed back all of the record shelving to make room for a little over 200 people and cut us loose to play a two hour plus set. Loose and raggedy at times, yet somehow also tighter than shit. It was by far our favorite show of the year and all these years later, I think it is one of the best performances from that era of the band.”
Had 4 in the balcony for the 22nd. Tried to buy and it gave me an error message saying I needed to try another device. Went on my phone, saw the tickets, went to purchase and got the “another person just purchased these”. I threw my desk out of my office window
Im really just dying to know what song they were gonna play on Letterman instead of Desperadoes Under the Eaves (guessing something from All Your Favorite Bands since it’s around that time) and how it even came up with Dave that they’d play that instead.
Bummer. Due to COVID concerns in Missouri? Supposed to see him Sunday here in CO, hopeful it doesn’t get the same treatment.
I have a flight to Denver tonight for a trip planned around this concert. Would be extremely disappointing.
I could see them maybe wavering for an indoor concert, but outdoor amphitheater is disappointing if due to covid concerns.
Ryan can put out perfectly fine records probably once every 3 months or so if he wanted to. He’s not been able to find anything better than that in a while though.
Now that Ryan is vulnerable maybe a female starlet will come along with promises to resurrect his career but on her terms
He’s been having meltdowns on Instagram once a week or so in the middle of the night and then deleting them the next day. Dude is a trainwreck
