Potentially. I acquired from Morganelli's last Wednesday. Not sure if any's still around Cola this week or not. It came out earlier than usual this year, usually lands in February I think
This mentality got me FAT. Now I’m back in shape and feeling great. Not drinking isn’t difficult so I’m just riding the wave
How long before you lost weight? I was expecting to have lost some by now with 3.5 weeks of no drinking and pretty healthy eating. Miniscule change however
yea probably should. after the first week it’s been relatively smooth sailing but when the random cravings hit they hit pretty hard. in-laws spent the weekend here and they can be difficult. left yesterday as the nfl games started so that’s what did it. just wanted one (1) beer as a treat
I think the term "addictive personality" gets thrown around and misused a lot. I will say though that I'm bad about finding something that works and sticking with it. "A cup of coffee is good...let's drink it all day." "Beer is good....let's have one every evening." That's why I have to do stuff like a completely dry month -- half measures don't work very well for me. When I got ready to quit cigs I just dropped them straight out.
I started losing weight almost immediately but before I was not working out, drinking high calorie beer and eating shitty. I turned all 3 around and the lbs slid off.
I started in October though and didn’t track my progress so it may not have been as fast as I remember
The amount of calories in good beer kills me. I try my best not to pay attention, but every IPA is basically drinking a Mountain Dew
Are you working out? If you go from sedentary to working out, you are likely to see weight gains for 3-6 weeks followed by a quick loss. Muscle growth and repair means lots of retained water Last spring I went like 3 straight months of working out 5-7 times a week plus daily walking and actually gained 5 lbs over the first 6 weeks, then I quickly dropped 15 over the next 6 weeks. It was a wild transformation from where I was in December of 2019 to April 2020 although the scale only changed 10lbs total
For some reason I always read your posts as you being pretty much Darius Rucker. Why? I have no idea.
Gray beard, guitar player, Gamecock, you're pretty much dead on except the rich singing voice and millions of dollars
I've found that I've replaced my evening cocktails with tea. So, I'd say that this month will be a success if I continue with that moving forward as an alternative to booze. Edit: just to be clear. I'm very looking much forward to the option to have my beer/booze again, just nice to have an enjoyable substitute.
Count me as one of those grandmas drinking some hot tea in the evenings. We’re in the home stretch now
English Breakfast is solid in the am, Green is delicious until late afternoon and hit me with that sleepy time right before bed.
Asian mother-in-law heard I liked Green Tea one time and has non-stop been giving me different teas since then. It's actually pretty awesome though. Coworkers think I'm weird because I have a huge stash of tea at work. Feeling like this last week will be easy enough. I don't work Mondays, so I will for sure have a beer or 2 to celebrate being dry for a month.
I'm planning on having no booze this weekend. We're in the middle of a pandemic, it's still winter time, my boat is in the shop, there ain't shit to do anyways. So if I make it through Saturday night with no booze it would mark 1 week. I'm just gonna do a month and see if I can drop this elusive 5 pounds . Also just generally wondering if I'll feel a lot better.
Had to put my cat down today, so I’m ending my run to have a beer. But very pleased with how the month went and hopefully have reset my drinking habits.
