E3 2016 Thread

Last year won't be topped for me but I'm excited to get release dates for games out this Christmas and early next year.

I'm personally most excited about Sea of Thieves and it's not close.

 

Any chance that TBA Exclusive would contain Rockstar?

the rumor is they're announcing a remaster of Skyrim.

too early for a new one.

 

Despite the number of hours I dumped into Skyrim, I will dump even more into a remaster.

 

I think I'd rather see a remastered oblivion, but I'd definitely play either. Skyrim seems so fresh in my mind.

 

Gimme RDR 2 and keep the VR shit to a minimum and I'll be good.

Holy hell - skyrim came out in 11? I thought it was 13 or 14. I never played the dlcs, so I'm in.

Anyone know if a remaster would be quick to complete for Bethesda? Could we see a 2016 release?

 

Rumors are that they remastered most of Skyrim to prep for the development of Fallout for on the current gen. It would probably be soon, but early 2017 versus late 2016

 

if they include mod support, they really don't have to do a ton to it. We can fix the rest ourselves.

What I'd like to see

-Red Dead Redemption 2 announced with a teaser trailer (shut up and take my money!)
-Horizon: Zero Dawn with a 2016 release date
-God of War 4 announcement
-Game-play footage of Mass Effect: Andromeda
-Rise of the Tomb Raider announcement for PS4 (fuck you microsoft)

As you can see, my list is entirely single player. I think most of will agree that the hardcore multiplayer life of TMB is starting to wane.

 

What am I missing about this Sea of Thieves game? I figured a MMORPG about pirates would be pretty intriguing/exciting and get loads of fanfare. Is it hesitation due to it's difficulty to pull off? People's interest in pirate games? The lack of info we've received about it? Or the fact that Rare hasn't done a whole lot lately? Speaking of which, is Rare even making an announcement?

 

Playing with others even if not against is much more entertaining imv.

Skyrim remaster showed up on a European game store site with a release date of 11/23/16 before getting taken down.

Just for the record, last time for Bethesda it went:

Oblivion
Fallout 3
Fallout NV
Skyrim
Fallout 4

I know NV wasn't actually made by Bethesda, and I'm not ure they're going to give creative control for someone else to make another game like they did last time. Still haven't played FO4, but considering what it apparently lacks in the way of a true RPG I'd rather them remaster than put out a new Elder Scrolls because that is my favorite game series on earth and I don't want them to fuck up the next iteration of it.

 

I think Bethesda is coasting at this point. They've earned collateral and they're gonna use it with future titles until they are called on it. Fallout 4 was lazy when you consider things like quest variety and a true rpg experience. I'd love for them to implement a level cap and either kill gear crafting, or make the mats for crafting gear harder to come by. When you can easily craft something that puts the best items you discover to shame, it really takes away from exploration in a game that just screams to be explored. Imo. But I'm a hard guy to please these days

 

Show me some mass effect and give me some hope.

 

They better have a big No Man's Sky feature since they delayed it.

Titanfall 2 looks like more of the same.

There wasn't really anything wrong with the first one, it was just kinda forgettable.

 

All titanfall needed was more adoption imo

doesn't seem like Mass Effect is coming anytime soon, though. Not much actual gameplay shown in that. Hopefully they actually get it finished for next year.
