Are there any Elite development players on the 2024 rosters? We haven't found any on our teams in online dynasty and we're using some of the better programs. We didn't even know Elite existed until this thread
I must not be doing something right on the double A blitz. Whenever I've tried to run it in UT it doesn't get the nano-blitz effect that the opposing team gets all 100 times they run it in the game.
I don't think there are. I didn't have any at OSU, Jeremiah Smith is one of the highest rated freshman on the game and his trait is star I did get Francis Mauigoa out the portal from Miami. He was a 5 star elite, but I don't know if they rerated him for the portal or he came that way on the 2024 roster
They nerfed it vs CPU in the last update. I have a lot better luck running base nickel and mixing up blitz/man/zone. If I do run it I always take the safety covering the RB and line him up between the 3T and DE oppo the RB then drop him into RB coverage or if the RB stays in I just go into a rover style zone. That tackle usually bites and your end can get free if they have a good get off.
Some say it helps to pinch and crash your line but I haven't needed to do that. Most people can quickly adjust if they know it's coming so I don't run it every play. I run a lot of the same formation but cover 3. But if they go 5 wide it pulls one of the MLB outside to the slot so it gives away that its zone. Some guys have no idea how to beat it so I'll run it more. All you have to do it half slide your line and keep your RB in to block and you have time. It's not an unbeatable defense.
If dblplay1212 was born in 2002 he would be a well known e athlete by now, with multiple shots at Olympics medals.
Recently played a guy back to back in Road to the CFP who would play the same line from Sheduer Sanders awful rap song every time he was throwing. Which was every single play. Im sure he clipped a couple siiiiick vids for his YouTube channel or whatever.
I definitely pay attention to what year the transfers are. Freshman 4* vs junior 4* right next to each other in the rankings? Grab that freshman every time.
just completed 2029 season and had 18 guys get drafted lol. 9 1st round picks (QB, HB, WR x3, LT, LE, DT, CB) also had 5 more taken in the 2nd round (HB, RG, RT, OLB, SS) definitely the most I've seen in one offseason
Well, can check that box. Finally got all 11 offensive starters (plus a few back ups) to be impact players (stars under their feet) Had gotten up to 8 or 9 the last couple seasons, but now got them all
New CUT challenges out. They’re really simple. Only get 1 81 card with this batch but a few 85+ are down the line.
Do you sub backups in? Does that help younger guys grow faster? Any other techniques for improving your rosters growth other than score lots of points and gain lots of yards?
I have substitutions turned way up; like come out at 80, go back in at 90 for skill guys, DL, LB, DB I let back ups play the 4th if up 3+ scores and sometimes they get in for the 3rd qtr The more PT they get, the more they tend to go up. But I also have a HC who is geared toward tactician and that boosts all positions as well, so while my team ratings might be 93 ovr, 93 on O, 93 on D, the boosts I get from my coach makes them play like 96 across the board My 2030 team is currently 95-96-95. My 2028 team was 97 across the board, the best I've had so far.
How much audibling and shifting to you guys do on defense. Feels like the computer hikes the ball in like 2 seconds so I can never set my coverage the way I want it
I do quite a bit of shifting based on down, distance, play call, and opponent sometimes I'll slide my DL, and pinch/slant them. I also will guess run/pass based on down/distance and who I'm playing. and I typically adjust my secondary on pass downs I've gotten it to muscle memory so on a given down, I might be in nickel over cover 3 sky and I'll spread my DL, slant to strong side, guess pass, press my corners, play my my secondary over the top, and show cover 2 shell
Yeah but are you doing any individual adjustments like taking the safety and having him cover overtop of the x wr or sending a DE to cover hard flats etc?
I slant towards the way I think the other team might run the ball, contain if their QB can run, pass coverage depending on the what look they give me, and then I’ll guess pass it if I think a pass is coming. Don’t really guess run unless it’s a short yardage situation.
You’d be surprised by how many people you can beat by solely running cover 4 between the 20s because they get so impatient not being able to force the ball down field
Obviously signing more than a few five stars is ridiculous but in my current year I have my most ridiculous class yet. 15 of the top 25 players, and let a 16th go because I don’t really want two QBs every class. Lol. I also went and checked the records for the first time in years. UGA had the most prolific QB of all time at some point and Ohio State had a guy record 35 sacks in a season . Most career records still stand from real players. Barry Sanders lmao. What a freak.
What's the most you've had a guy progress in one offseason training? Just had a rb go from 73 to 86, a lb go from 75 to 87 and a CB go from 75 to 84 in same offseason.
My CB and RB no, my LB was from MLB to OLB. Just realized scanning my roster also had a MLB to OLB go from 64 to 78
14 by a LG; in 2025 as a rFr he was a 77, in 2026 he was a 91 (real player, Devontae Armstrong) 13 by a SS; in 2025 as a rFr he was a 74, in 2026 he was a 87 (real player, Jaylen McClain) 12 by a RB; in 2024 as a Fr he was a 69, in 2024 he was a 81 (real player, Sam Williams-Dixon) interestingly enough, all of them were 3 stars (impact trait) the most YoY improvement by trait type: Normal 7 points (WR; Freshman that redshirted) Impact 14 points (LG; rFr to rSo) Star 11 points (RB; So to Jr) Elite 10 points done 4x (OL, DL, OL, RB; 2 going Fr to rFr and 2 going rFr to rSo)
lol nah, I don't track it I can say it doesn't work all that frequently for me. my 2030 class, I think I had 6 targets who had me #1 to start and none committed. previous year it was probably 2 out of 8ish if I had to guess it probably less than 20%, at least in my experience
In my new dynasty, I have like 120 coach points burning a hole in my pocket. I went ahead and did the four upgrades in the recruiter category for each position (except K/P). That's all I've done so far though. Not exactly sure what would be the best approach to take from there though.
I've used all my points on recruiting first to bring in good players and then started getting tactician points to make the players better. I haven't done much with motivator yet
Low sample size but 6 of ~40 for me in my first two years with it. A five star, 4 four stars, and a punter
Back up QB with 95 speed 1 WR with 97 speed and another with 95 Awesome offensive playbook RPO and option to death all those bums that only play with Georgia. As long as you don't let the game turn into a track meet it's a lot of fun to play with them
