EA Sports College Football 25: Patches & Pursuit Angles

The kicking meter is teeny tiny and the punting meter is huge. Why did they do that?

 

thought I was losing my mind earlier on why it was so small.

 

I would love to have been a fly on the wall to hear what the reasoning was there.

 

They ever gonna let you change option buttons? Years of hitting A to hand the ball off and now doing the opposite still screws me up.

 

i see the genius developers now have a touchback take 3 seconds, instead of 1. at least at the beginning of a half.

 

I feel like a quarter of the time I try to choose an option on an option play and I end up handing the ball off anyway for some unknown reason and lose 3 yards.

 

Honestly...I pretty much never have the defensive end crash, so I've almost never kept on an option...maybe like twice ever.

 

Finally played a user in my online dynasty after switching to the Arizona playbook. Won 35-28, but took knees at end instead of scoring again and I think the only other drive I didn't get a TD was I threw a 95 yard pick 6 when he jumped an out route. He plays a slow eat clock style so I didn't have a lot of possessions.

That formation is legit v users too. He tried so hard to shut down the big pass plays, he continuously left 5 in box and I ran for 200+ yards.

 

the wide formations are money, easy reads.

 

I think they managed to make pursuit angles worse. I had multiple times yesterday while playing that my guys were running right past the guy with the ball.

Yea in the game I played last night v the user, the defense was terrible when the QB scrambled out and would take an inward angles at him and he'd just run wide past them. Had to start usering outside DE and just play contain to stop him doing that

 

I think I just ruined my dynasty by accidentally advancing the week before I set up my recruiting board and doing my scouting and offering scholarships. I knew something was wrong when I offered a scholarship and immediately had the chance to distribute points for other actions. I ran with it, set up my board, did all my scouting, made my offers, etc. Advanced to the next week and more than two thirds of the board had eliminated my school in their recruiting. Fuuuuck.

Finally decided to wade into the online PvP gameplay world. Played two games as Georgia Tech since that’s the online dynasty team I inherited.

First game was vs Bama. Guy threw a pick six in the first drive and quit. Got my first W!

Second game was at Colorado. Lost 34-31. Had every chance to win, but I threw two pick sixes to Travis Hunter just being careless.

I’ll keep giving it a go. Do they start you off with matchmaking against other players who aren’t that good or haven’t played many online games? Trying to get a sense of whether my limited success is due to playing against garbage.

 

It's skill based. As you progress through your seasons you'll level up.

Played my first game in a while and there were actually some chunk run plays up the middle.

 

For the first time since switching to Arizona offense, played the user in my online dynasty who gave me all of my last 3 losses including stomping me last season in CFP which led to me switching offenses. Beat him in B12 title game and he got so frustrated he took a knee with 1:30 left down 14 because he didn't want anymore. He out time of possession me 15 min to 5 min, and half of my 5 min was chewing clock my last drive to go up 14. Stringing together a long td drive only for me to gash multiple 10+ yard runs in hurry up and then hit a 50 yard TD over top when you bring in your safety for run support must have made him not want anymore. He was throwing on me in the 4th up 21 our last game, so I'm enjoying it a little bit. Now it's going to suck when he start running it now....

 

Messing around with dynasty for the first time. How are the points counted for recruiting rankings? Want to make sure I nab a top 5 class. I’m 3rd right now. If I add a bunch of 3 stars will that drop the ranking because star average drops or increase it?

 

What do you have committed now?

It’s like 247, a bunch of 3* transfers aren’t gonna make Colorado a top 10 class. Need that 5* and 4* base

Can you change commissioner in online dynasty? I think I made my commissioner quit, after finally beating him he sent a group message that he doesn't find the game fun anymore and wants to retire. Made his ass quit

4 5*s and a dozen 4*s. Lead for quite a few more 4*s. UGA had 6 5*s but no one else has more than 3. Think I’ll be fine looking at ohhaithur chart.

 

I knew the conference scheduling in this game was bad, but whew buddy. So I'm in the B1G, 18 total teams. Across 9 seasons, I have played

I've met USC in the playoffs as many times as I have in the regular season lol.

 

Oh geesh. I didn’t know they added new prospects after the season as well. Ended up 2nd behind UGA with 4 5*s and 25 4*s.

Edit. UGA ended with 7 5*s, 20 4*s, and 8 3*s.

 

Well geesh, screwed this up. Went through and did all the position by positive changes but instead of hitting start I hit the back button and none of them changed. Got a really weird roster right now.
