Uhh. I was able to edit player ratings last month and just started playing again, now can’t edit?! Did they update the game to turn it off???
I feel like the game knows I want to the FSU job lol the HC was on the hotseat but then made a playoff run and had a solid 9 win season and now he's safe. I may not get the opportunity to take them over. contemplating going to LSU when it comes open. they've been dreadful in my dynasty. they haven't had 2 winning seasons since 2031 lol 2031 8-5 2032 6-6 2033 5-7 2034 4-8 2035 3-9 2036 5-7 2037 2-10 2038 7-6 2039 4-8 2040 4-8 2041 5-7 it's like they rehired Gerry DiNardo prestige is down to 3 stars, 8% blue chip, 84-84-84 2041 ratings
I wouldn't mind a system where you could upgrade aspects of the school/stadium to improve your recruiting grades. It would have to be really difficult to prevent total immersion breaking, but being able to add 15k seats or something for a smaller stadium could be fun. Really, at the end of the day I just want formation subs to be added. I'd also like for them to make some changes to recruiting, particularly as it relates to the transfer portal and "encouraging transfers." It's stupid that in an online dynasty you can have a school like Oregon add a bunch of recruits, encourage transfers to a bunch of good players, and then those players just disappear. There should be a spring recruiting period or something like that for those players. It's also dumb that transfers don't get offseason progression.
Yea, I had that happen to me. I moved the OLB when he was like a 78 OVR to DE, and he immediately jumped up to a 91 OVR by using those points. I think the broken archetype happened when I moved the player from a MLB to an OLB and I just didn't catch it having made him a speed rusher.
I don't think they disappear, they go alphabetically by school to whoever doesn't have a roster that has the minimum requirement at their position. I think it's dumb that transfer players don't progress - probably has to due with coding and the release date more than anything
Found this article and concept really interesting in how to purposely handicap recruiting through "house rules" to make games/dynasty more competitive and challenging https://www.operationsports.com/the...cruiting-in-college-football-25-dynasty-mode/
bought the game in july but didn't really dig into it until recently (actually having a lot of fun with football coach: college dynasty, which is a must if you're a dynasty sim dork like me) there's a lot to improve on, but the game really does feel good to play minus the occasional janky animation. 12-1 in my first season with ohio state. lost to penn state 22-21, but won the rematch 28-23. 32-29 win over oregon was maybe the most fun i've had playing an ea football game. i love that i feel like i can move the ball and get stops consistently without feeling overpowered gave up 3 rushing yards for the season, so probably need to tweak something there lol
What difficulty are you playing on lol? There's really good sliders out there if you want a good game that feels like talent disparity still matters.
All american with sliders tilted slightly in my favor. I'm not that good, and I really haven't played an ea game since ncaa 14, so there's a bit of a learning curve. Sacks really skew the rushing numbers
https://forums.operationsports.com/forums/ea-sports-college-football-sliders/ I have the CPU run blocking set to 100
Added BGSU into the B1G to try and help my recruiting, can’t recruit a top 5 class to save my ass 6 years into my dynasty even tho I’ve won 2 natty’s. But anyway my 1st year in the B1G gave me like 2 conference games on schedule, does it generate more conference games in year 2 or is this I have to manually adjust every year?
Before last season in a dynasty, I recruited two ATH QBs and put them at DE. They were like a 39 and 43 overall. One season later of offseason development and they're at 84 and 85 OVR as a sophomore and a redshirt freshman. Sweet.
It’s all good. Able to build my 99s again. Not sure what happened, it stopped letting me edit during that dynasty
It probably messed with the minimum conference games played under the conference settings. You'll have to look at the end of the off season and fix it then.
I accidentally lost track of the weeks and forgot to pull some offers so I just signed like 30+ high school recruits for my WKU dynasty which made it so I had to cut some guys I didn’t really want to. Anyways because of this I was having to move some guys around and discovered my like 5th year 79 slot WR is a 94 RB so I moved him just because. I have yet to see if this pans out since I haven’t played yet. Are there any other “hacks” like this I should know of? Only reason I ask is because this OD I’m in is the Wild West it appears in terms of house rules so I’m playing catch-up.
There are a bunch. Senior scrambler qb to rb makes them elusive and sick. All big ass wrs should go to te. Agile lineman to te or fb if you run a bunch.
Those receiving backs are highly rated but I’ve never liked how they feel when I’m using them. Good for sims though. You could also move WR to TE, move an OT or Center to a blocking TE, those are good moves. I just had the two QB athletes I mentioned above that I placed as brand new recruits as DE instead. They sucked year one but now they’re 85+ overall in year two. CB recruits usually end up being better safeties than safety recruits.
Yeah I was wondering if I’d even like this guy at RB he’s only like 89 speed but we’ll see. Typically I probably play overly realistic (don’t blindly scramble, don’t cheese/spam, etc) but I’ve realized these guys just stack super fast guys all over and spam like crazy. So them scoring 70+ a game on the CPU has led to all their players and coach progressing super fast. I’m trying to fight fire with fire.
I rarely lose in my dynasty but I was down 31-13 with 4 minutes left in the semifinal against Alabama. I got nervous and literally did this meme I won 55-31
How much does playing time actually help development? For example last year in my WKU dynasty I used a true freshman QB in the last 4 games but preserved his RS. Does that actually matter? Think he’s impact or star level.
42! TD, forced fumble on the kickoff, TD, 3 and out using two timeouts, TD. So I'm up before the two minute warning Back-to-back pick 6s seal the game Then ran up the score after their last turnover on downs by breaking a run If it happened irl it would be spoken about for centuries
My issue seems to be once I get ahead vs the CPU I start running random plays just because then quickly a pick six turns into a 21-0 run by the CPU lol
I’m now interested to see what happens if I just keep running the plays that got me the 21-0 lead. I’m committing to it.
Trying to decide on my next upgrade. Torn between 2 options: (1) recruits from primary pipeline get extra influence boost; or (2) upgrade five best pipelines by one tier.
Just started playing this for the first time last night and have a few questions. How many minute quarters do you guys play? Is this game a lot tougher? Seems like there are too many control buttons these days. Are there certain go-to's that you guys stick with (R2 for speed, R3)? What player do you guys use on D to start a majority of the time? Do you guys use the full playbook? Seems like i just look at the coaches suggestion area and pick one out of there for the most part. I dont learn a playbook then have go-to plays though like that Any other suggestions lol?
Try not to use sprint when running the ball until you're in the clear. Or when moving around the pocket if you can help it. Triggers increased AI block shed. In general you want to user a fast linebacker (or safety you've put at LB) and be a fixer running around. But that just depends on how sweaty you're trying to get, if you're just playing CPU, play whatever position you want and have fun. Playbook/offense thing is somewhat divided, some people just pick from the suggestions and others pick their own. I think over time you start realizing what your better stock plays in your particular playbook are and start to remember them from using the suggestions and end up doing a bit of both eventually. Playbooks, and what access to formations and plays can be found in them vary wildly, and some are 'better' than others. But really it's just how to do want to play, RPO heavy, spread n shred, pro style, flex bone etc.
Sigh, was 8-1 and needed to win the 10th game with a tier 3 to make the playoffs and got absolutely diced up by someone using ND. Wasn't even mad, he was just good as shit. Never knew if he was sending 8 or dropping 9.
I control either the safety or one of the LBs but I'm not sure I would recommend the safety if you're just starting out.
If your coach also specializes in Florida, I would go with 1 only because there is so much talent in state.
Not that it makes it any better but it’s almost better (to me) losing a game where I just have to tip my cap. Instead of losing to some dude spamming the same plays to their 99 speed guys that immediately get 10 yards of space after the snap.
I've started playing at slot CB or whoever is in the purple zone. Got fast MLBs with high coverage attributes. Playing purple zone guy / slot CB lets you take away bubble screens, jet sweeps and if you use a super fast one you can take away a corner route better than the CPU would esp if it's a flood play where your CB is going with the deep guy. Bonus if you're playing with a CB that has great press. LB + A you can lock up a WR for a full 2-3 seconds. Just gotta watch out for bumping into them once they break free bc of the illegal contact RNG
Played a guy using Michigan that called pass plays and immediately just took off straight to the sideline with Orji. Contain didn't work bc he's too fast. If I hit r3, he'd throw to the open guy. It was 14-14 at half. I got ball, he never touched it and I kicked a FG from the 2 as time expired. Fuck him.
I didn't want to play against that shit anymore. Hit chew clock and grinded out some 1st downs, didn't even want to go deep and give him the ball back.
I like to play cover 4 out of nickel and just control the MLB who is a spy, can kinda freelance and do whatever. Otherwise i usually control blitzers or DE
