Pretty much all my requested changes are dynasty focused, which means almost none of them will happen.

    1. Formation subs - this is pretty self explanatory
    2. Player Development needs tweaking as mentioned above. I would like more control over what my team is improving and to make it more interactive and more consequential.
    3. Coaching Staffs/Coach Development. I want to be able to progress beyond a level 50 cap type of thing. Hell, make it an option in dynasty settings or make the escalating point requirements for each level more significant. I also want a full coaching staff, make the coaching carousel more effective, maybe have some former players who don't get drafted eligible to be added as grad assistants or something like that. I just want it to feel like it has more life to it and it more true to how CFB actually is.
    4. Comp vs. Sim. I think I would like for dynasty to have a toggle for a comp vs sim mode. Sometimes the sim fuckery is a little too much and you can just feel like the game is making you lose no matter how conservative or true to life you are playing the game. Make the ratings matter more.
    5. Nerf abilities or just alter how they work. As of right now, abilities are way too overpowered. Having a guy with platinum quick jump or platinum takeoff is way too much of a cheat code.
    6. Make recruiting a little more complicated and have more nuance and features.
    7. Make the transfer portal actually worth a shit with guys transferring out for actual playing time purposes
    8. Let transfers and freshmen improve over the spring development period
    9. There are a billion UI improvements I'd like to see made as well (like being able to find dev traits more easily, player cards readily available at all times, not hide things like player traits inside of a drop down in the fucking STATS menu!?).

I could keep going, but that's just the stuff that really drives me nuts.

No I agree. That’s why I tried to emphasize the “consistently” part. I was more so talking about teams on fairly equal footing as well.

All of these would be huge.

100% agree on the UI/QOL stuff. Having to goto multiple screens just to see shit about your roster drives me nuts. Literally making a spreadsheet made it easier for me when I was doing recruiting, cuts, etc.

Be able to use custom playbooks and depth charts online. You used to be able to do on the old games and it's been standard in Madden forever. It's not a big ask

Hard pass on custom playbooks Things would get incredibly cheesy.

I agree on this. Custom playbooks in online play would be a disaster. However, you SHOULD be able to choose which team playbook you want to use. I hate that I ended up really liking and getting used to the Alabama playbook, only to realize that meant I had to always play as Alabama in Road to CFP, which felt pretty cheesy in its own right. It feels like all you see are Alabama and Ohio State.

My team management spreadsheet has saved me so much headaches just because I can see what dev traits I have, who has how many dev caps remaining, and helps me when it comes to deciding how many recruits I need and who I should cut in the encourage transfers period.

Yep. I don’t know if it’s always messed up but one season my “Team Needs” screen was completely screwed up so I had to cut like 20+ players lol after that started a sheet.

Yea it's makes picking random teams tough bc you have no idea what their playbook is. Picking a playbook would be nice.

In the Ultimate Team Era, you may be lucky to get one of these.

More likely you will get “Dynamic Quarterback Audibles based on Ratings, Crowd Impact, and Time/Score! The bigger the moment, the more it matters!”

Recruiting should be able to be tuned by user to make it harder, roster management should be easier both in and out of game, the story telling of your career as coach or your school should be way more immersive. How about a small cut scene post game when my running back breaks Barry Sanders record. All that should be easy imo. But it ain’t gonna happen.

So there’s that glitch for certain positions where the archetype breaks development. I had a “speed rusher” OLB that wasn’t developing, once I switched his position it all disbursed.

My question is when is the best time to change? I just had a OLB speed rusher and switched him to MLB then back, and he lost like 8 overalls. Should I only do this in off season?

but, you can play guys outside of their specified position and receive some of the benefits of their skill set

ie an 84 speed rusher OLB might show as a 91 pass rush DE. or an 86 tackle shows a 90 overall when starting at LG

I normally don’t was just trying to make it so this guy used his dev points. I’ll know to just let them stack up until off season now.

Played a guy last night that used Ole Miss. He used the formation with 2 WR stacked all the way out by the sidelines. idk what the play was but the WR on the right off the line would run a go route and for some reason he wouldn't be covered. In zone, the outside and inside DB would follow the guy on the inside when he ran a drag. I was not running match. If I ran man, the CB guarding the one off the line would stat jogging at about 5 years past the LOS and the WR would blow by him to be wide open. He almost always would do a possession catch on the sideline before the safety could get over. I ran ever defense I could think of, nothing worked. idk what the glitch was but man it was frustrating. I finally started covering it on my own and had a couple pick 6 but it was too late. He had 14 catches for 336 yards.

This guy ran jet touch pass and QB counter with Hunter at QB. I guess you can do WR at QB in that formation? He ran that and a rub route out of 5 wide. Got lucky and dropped someone under the rub and got an INT and then ran the clock out. I did not feel bad about this last play at all.

Guessing it's Gun Twins F Over the formation he's running. Looks like it at least. I do think one of the substitution packages puts a WR at QB.

Yea i think that's it. Bama has the same one. It's all runs. After the 1st drive I started blitzing the CB to the wide side where the jet pass would go and that clamped it down. He was terrible on offense outside of that formation.

First round of the playoffs, this was maybe the best defensive player I've faced. His switch stick was ungodly, seemed like he was everywhere. He shut my offense out. He should have just played for the FG and then played defense. I showed cover 0 but ran cover 2 and got him with a pick 6. He didn't see the CB come down. And I still had to get lucky with a fumble at the end to win it.

I really want to get better at switch sticking but I never commit to actually practicing with it. I feel like you have to do it though to be elite on defense.

I want to learn it but i may be too old to learn new tricks at this point. I really only use it if I'm on the wrong guy when they snap the ball and then I'll use it to get to the guy in the middle of the field.

Tbh I rely on disguising coverage and shading coverage more than anything. Like on that pick 6 above, I ran double might mid blitz the play before to set up running cover 2 shaded down out of the same look the next play. He thought i was in man bc of the look and i got him. I have to play a chess match more than a sticks match.

The crossing blitzes are a gamechanger too. I have 3 or 4 that I rotate between, some being man and some being zone. If they don't block thr RB, it's quick pressure. If they block the RB, my user can roam anywhere so it's good either way.

Same play bailed me out again. You can tell he knew he fucked up and barely tapped the button lol. He was really good, ran 2 man under all game woth press coverage and clamped up my WR. I couldn't get off hos press and couldn't get a takeoff. Just had to run the ball and run zigs over and over. Boring but it got the job done.

He'd paused it twice early so I assume he wasn't able to pause it again. Should be an option to challenge without pausing tbh. He got screwed. He was really good on offense, not so much defense.

In year 50 (two saves) of offline dynasty on whatever the rank below heisman is, for those of us in the bottom rungs of play, I have found the run game out of the Oklahoma State playbook.

Started at TCU, built them up but flopped in the semifinal or national championship like four years in a row. Decided it wasn’t meant to be and took over a loaded Miami team. In year 2 I got frustrated with the offense and changed to Oklahoma State mid season not knowing what it was all about.

About to smash Barry’s record without cheesing. Agile pulling guards against five man fronts and super wide safeties because of the WR alignment. 2,200 yards through 10 games while basically ensuring I get my QB 250 yards and a few touchdowns to not have play style become a deal breaker for QBs and WRs.

I’ve never had a playbook where my running back can get to the second level and be one on one with the safety more than 1-2 times a game so this is a lot of fun.

PSU tied it up with 30 seconds left in the 3rd. Went chew clock and kicked a FG to win it with 10 seconds left. Kinda felt like a hoe but that was chip #7 so whatever.

I want to know how they did these rosters. One guy has Tebow era UF and one has Mariota Oregon. They added other legends to the pool too. Sounds like they loaded teams with players available and then had legends available too? No clue how they did it but I'd love to do a Bama team like this in dynasty.
