The show Is the best sports game.Nhl online is fun as well . Madden is fucking trash and you idiots keep buying it.
NCAA Football has always been the one game that could entertain me playing offline dynasty mode. Playing online was fun and online dynasty was awesome when it started. But my hope is as long as the dynasty mode is somewhat similar to the old games I’ll be able to find it fun, whether it’s trying to make Nebraska bowl eligible or starting one with UMass or something. When I play offline I don’t go crazy with cheesing or exploits so it’s not that big of a deal.
The problem is for these video game companies is that there's no money in offline play. They would much rather put their resources into online play where they can milk the customer for several hundred dollars more.
IMPORTANT CORRECTION. After further review, the GOAT soundtrack was actually 2004. EDIT: I had no idea it was going to embed. Cool!
I'm just saying, I think it's a pipedream. They don't want you playing offline modes. Go online and pay $100+ to be competitive vs other online players.
The only hope I have for this game is that EA hired some of the guys in charge of the College Football Revamped mod for 14. knowing EA they are probably going to make them community managers and not let them give input on content though
of all the games that should be an easy winner, NHL is a real disappointment. It should be easy to make a fun and dynamic hockey game. And yet they've really let that franchise slip into nothingness. Shame.
in fact, 14 is the only one with good recruiting. if it goes back to having to "make calls" i'll play about 2% as much as i did 14 over its first year.
I'm kind of sad it isn't coming out in the next week, given how little work they're actually going to put into it
Thats my thought. I’m well aware online/ultimate team modes will get the attention and that’s whatever. Just give me the dynasty we had on the last game and I’m good.
I remember there was a glitch where I would become in control of other teams and take all the players I was competing against off of their recruiting board, which would also pull their offer. I would pretty much get everyone I wanted on my board
Forgot all about that. Think it was just in one specific year's game but yeah I remember that as well
no but legacy consoles where you have the disc. just need to connect online and there are people that create the rosters every year.
I never really cared about the rosters since I always just recruited over the guys on my team anyway.
Reviews for Madden seem to be "heading in the right direction" which could be good for NCAA. But I think the guy from this Forbes review really summed up how I feel about playing Madden for years now. Like it's fine and fun but you don't feel like playing over and over like we did in the PS2 days. I think that's the fairest opinion.
Custom franchise is still broken from an update they made in 22. They broke it with a bug during an update and didn’t even address it in 23. EA sucks
I agree with that. Madden games feel like I'm just pressing play on various animation clips. It's hard to explain but it's like there's a wall between the player and the game that's not there in NBA games or even in, say, NFL 2K5.
Real shame that this game is pushing 18 years old and still plays better than any Madden has since then
meh they added in a bunch of shit in the game that made it arcadey as fuck to the point where these are too common (unless you adjust sliders) so diminishing margin of returns etc etc. There's actually a "superstar ability" that some defensive players got in the past couple maddens that any hitstick hit by said players was an automatic fumble. new madden is okay. speed still >>>>> every other functional attribute at each position, to the point where an all-pro corner may perform worse than a scout team CB with elite speed. the defensive AI still gets broken in pass coverage by the same plays it has for the past half decade. numerous head-scratcher animations each game they added some "Home field advantage Meter" that is absolute trash and tracks momentum in the game and gives random advantages to the leading team, ie - a game last night I was behind and my offense couldn't understand hot routes, so my QB was incapable of telling the RB 2 feet away from him to stay in and block on a pass play because my opponent had momentum in the game like what the fuck is that. Other examples = your team fatigues faster than the other team, opponent can make cuts faster than your team......... literally nothing I've fuckin seen has anything to do with the effects of actual momentum in a football game. They just thought up a bunch of random bullshit effects and called it home field advantage and to our knowledge there's no way to turn it off I think the only thing they actually improved from M22-M23 is that the running game isn't completely broken this year. Last year every RB fell forward 2-3, sometimes 5-7 yards when they were tackled. So that's fixed. Awesome
Not sure how EA can get even worse post-Amazon but Twitch has been on a less than upward trajectory since Amazon acquired them too
Idk what game you are playing but the defense is definitely still not broken like it was in the past couple Maddens
23 is lightyears ahead of the past couple Maddens except that the OL are all shit now but thats because pass rush was non existent except on blizes for years now
ea are making the most money theyve ever made, too. that doesnt mean theyre a quality company making quality products.
while true, I don’t think that’s really applicable to twitch. The addition of twitch prime has been huge and has created more full time streamers and better content. The big downside though has been the ads, so many ads.
