EA Sports College Football: 99 OVR Posting

The last few weeks randomly they’ll snap the ball as soon as I hit the button so the meter doesn’t move up at all even if I’m holding it down.

Well, I’m apparently not able to score touchdowns against good users, so field goals are all I have damnit.

Recruiting at nearly 70% five stars with OSU. I want an entire roster of 5 stars. Only have 12 four stars on my current roster (just 2 on defense lol)

 

Can anyone give me a cliff notes on how the zone depth adjustments work? I can't make heads or tails of them and even then the reddit stuff I find doesn't seem helpful. Like guys setting curl flat depth to 25 yards makes no sense to my pea brain.

 

I personally only do those adjustments if someone is cheesing on me. If they’re running RPOs the entire game I’m setting whatever the flat is to 0 or something. If they’re running corners I’m setting it to something like what you’re saying.

I’m more about the on field pre snap adjustments.

-Contain if the QB is a threat or you think they might try an outside run.

-Guess pass in obvious passing situations.

-Only guess run near the goaline or on 4th and short.

-Coverage adjustments based on their formation. If they’re trying to run crossers a lot I’ll start guessing inside. Inside the 15 yard line I do pass coverage underneath almost every play. Typically running cover 2 invert hard flat or cover 3 hard flat. Regular cover 2 hard flat works fine too.

 

Anyone seen a glitch where during position changes it causes guys physical attributes (speed, acceleration, etc) to decrease?

 

Not during position changes, only seen it when changing a position during the season

 

my 2037 team was rated in preseason 96 overall, 96 offense, 97 defense

6 games in and the overall is now 98, offense 97, defense 99

Guy in one of my online dynasties had a 77 overall DE/OLB recruit and when he switched between the position the guy lost acceleration. When he switched him back he lost even more. Ended up as a 70 overall now.

 

I had something like this happen switching a RT to RG

he came in as a 79 but I had 5 RTs so I moved him to RG and he dropped to a 76. given he was a 5 star I panicked and moved him back to RT and he was a 74 lol

I ended up cutting him the following offseason

 

Apparently might have to do with certain archetypes?

 

possible. he was a pass protector which you rarely see at guard

I've moved agile and power OL with no issues like this thus why it was startling to me

 

Yeah, switching positions during the season completely destroys guys' ratings.

Just play them at your preferred spot and change it in the off season

 

What happens if you don’t accept an extension, you advance and the offer is gone, and you get no other offers?

In my non-TMB OD, some guy has a RB with 101 receptions for 1455 and 17 TDs in like 7 games. The next guy has 11 receptions lol

 

I got the G8 Bluetooth controller thing for remote play and it was working fine.

Yesterday I went to play and it’s connected to my phones Bluetooth, but it’s like the Xbox app won’t recognize it. It tells me to use touch screen or connect a controller.

Anyone had this issue?


Edit: figured it out. It went into “android mode” for some reason

 

I just lost an online dynasty game because I accidentally accepted a penalty even after I had scored a touchdown. The very next play? Pick six. Ended up losing by 6.

I don’t understand how my depth chart gets screwed up all the time.

Out of nowhere I had a few guys who are 67-70 overall starting for me. Had never seen these clowns in my life.

Also kind of wish I could just scrap the whole specialized position parts of the DC. Half the time my “rush” DL end up just playing every snap so it doesn’t really work how I’d want.

 

About to finish 2038 (8th year at OSU). Think it might be time to take over FSU

Apparently this was because of a redshirt update. Reddit claims adding or pull a RS can mess up the order on your depth chart and not just at that position.

Guess I’ll have to go check everything before I play again. Dumb.

 

yes it resets the entire depth chart from my experience

 

Won my 2nd online natty. Didn't realize it was my title game until it was over, thought it was my 3rd round game and his title game bc of the field logos. Haven't been playing much but won a title in the last 2 seasons I've played.

in 2038 FSU is 4-4 with a 36% blue chip roster. they haven't finished a year ranked since I took over OSU in 2031

CB I know you've probably explained this 100 times and while I like reading this thread I do miss some pages, so my apologies in advance. I know you hand track in excel the recruiting data, but do you hand track each season's results/stats/etc to get charts like the one above? Or is there a summary page for each program somewhere that contains this information from years past? As I know everyone has discussed the lack of data/stats retention year over year is probably the most frustrating part of dynasty mode to me.

 

This is all manually tracked. I track 20 specific programs and then have all data on the teams who made the playoffs (though not individual records or roster data)

Unfortunately they don't have easy access to this stuff hence my obsession lol

So each season I go in at the beginning of the season and check prestige, bc %, and team ratings. And then ahead of the playoffs I pull recs, seeding, and AP rank. And then before offseason I get the final stats including all scores of the playoff games

Pretty sure that's the case. I'm almost positive there's a "see all offers" option somewhere...but I don't think you can accept them. Just see what's open.

 

Maybe if you give them forced losses all season you can get their coach fired?

Only played 1 game with them so far. SS would’ve had a pick 6 but Morrison broke from the other side and got to the ball first
