Gem means that they will not be a normal dev player. Impact or better. Increased chance of star or elite. Bust means that they will not be an elite dev player. It also makes it more likely that they're normal or impact.
yeah, this. busts can still have better stats, better abilities, and better caps but can never be elite dev.
I’m sitting here with a kid going into his freshman year at a D1 school…he & the boys are so geeked about him bein the game! It’s so cool to watch this happen!
eyes emoji All i've seen article wise: https://www.si.com/esports/news/2k-rival-ea-sports-with-new-college-basketball
I was watching Bordeaux's full gameplay video against Ryan Williams and he clarified that the No Eyes No Pick only applies to the CPU. EA left out a some footage of Williams picking him off against FSU where the user controlled player was completely turned around and was still able to make the interception.
He’s projected to go 1st round. Whites might be able to field a full defensive backfield in the league for the first time since 1970.
If you look at the list of FS ratings on the EA website, they list Jeremiah Cooper from Iowa State as playing in the Big Ten. Good work EA.
pretty much everything we got last year is already out offense, defense, overall top rated players toughest places to play I don't anticipate anything else at this point. maybe the HC, OC, and DC levels/archetypes?
I mean the one Ryan Williams picked off Bordeaux on was where the safety was literally on top of the WR so it was a bad pass anyways
throwing interceptions is a skill issue. can't throw over linebackers? wrong passing system. guys jumping out routes? wrong passing system. can't get the ball through triple coverage? yeah no fucking shit, stop throwing to guys who aren't open.
He was legitimately horrendous against ND last year. Like one of the worst games a single opponent has ever played against ND bad.
all fair but if my WR has 2 steps on the DB and the defender never looks for the ball but just randomly jumps and picks me, that ain't a skill issue, it's a programming one. and I can say, based on playing the beta, I did not experience these absurd INTs in the 1 season I played
yeah idk, that has never happened to me after switching to that. i still definitely throw them when i don't see the random defender standing there on the logo or endzone when their jersey is the same color as it. maybe your lead needed to be higher or a faster meter. but revamped is absolute trash and i never once completed a deep pass with it. placement and accuracy is so damn good once you get a feel for it.
Sure, 4 missed tackles. One game against a top 5 team. He didn’t play as well his sophomore year as he did his freshman year but he was also playing a different position. He’s moving back to the one he was an all-american at.
I have no doubt he’ll be better with more talent around him. But based on last year, I think there are also legitimate question marks about whether that one season was an anomaly. I guess we’ll see. Either way, I don’t see him as a 90+ level player or a 1st round prospect. More an 85-88 type player and mid rounder. But I guess we’ll see this season.
Ehhhhh to an extent. It's not just fly routes too. It's a post routes where a MLB is running with his back turned to the QB yet can jump as the ball flies over his head and get an INT. Same with an OLB covering a RB out of the backfield. They shouldn't have eyes in the back of their heads unless it's the user.
I love the system. I just randomly would get fucked on a deep ball by a DB who made a ridiculous pick. I can understand them knocking the ball down, but the no look INT was irritating but like you, the majority of my picks were from not paying attention or not seeing a guy blend into endzones or logos....or snow, playing in snow as the home team is a recipe for disaster lol
yeah i just don't have those issues and i'm trash at the game. but to your 2nd point....we play from a point of view that gives us an incredible advantage that real players would never have. maybe the cpu defenders do need to benefit from having our pov as well. but i haven't really thought about it too much.
I find myself conflicted bc last year's game was so offense heavy. Without the INT's, it'd be even worse. While I think the ridiculous INT's are frustrating, I'm concerned about WR's with takeoff if one step means they are open for 6.
personally, i like to see a faster more arcadey offensive focused game. i think it's overall more rewarding for the player and gives us more agency. for that reason i always do my dynasties on 0 speed threshold.
