if anyone who would like to remain nameless wanted to test out dynasty and send me a pm about major changes to recruiting....
Gonna need someone with the beta to tell me if they put the Michigan Stadium flag pole in the correct end zone this year (aka not the one with the students and band). Drove me crazy.
So I get the beta until Sunday at midnight I should be able to get through at least a couple full seasons of dynasty mode
I'm not Madden VIP. I didn't get Madden 25 at all. I downloaded Madden 24 when it was free on the EA pass thing (I don't have EA pass anymore) just to get back into football games bc I hadn't played in 10 years.
Sucks but not surprising. I think this is to just test the game, they don't want to give stuff away. Sucks but I get it.
new archetypes are cool Spoiler Elusive Bruiser RB East/West Playmaker RB Elusive Route Runner WR Route Artist WR Speedster WR Physical Route Runner WR Raw Strength OL Well Rounded OL Physical Freak DL Edge Setter DE Gap Specialist DT Lurker SLB (also called Sam instead of LOLB or ROLB) Thumper MLB Signal Caller WLB Bump and Run CB Boundary CB Coverage Specialist SS if y'all don't want things spoiled just tell me and I won't post anything else
Notes after game 1 of dynasty Difficulty: All American Qtr Length: 8 minutes Team: Ohio St Spoiler Recruiting Much cleaner presentation. When on the prospect list you see team needs across the top which is useful. On recruiting board you see impact from previous week's effort (up or down on prospect list). Also, some of the pitches have changed combinations so time to relearn all those lol Game 1 vs #2 Texas Presentation feels much more TV style. Quick note, I play all games on mute so I can't speak on commentary or crowd noise. Playbooks are massive. Most of what I am familiar with and prefer for OSU was still included but more plays were added to my favorite formations plus they gave me some new ones which fit the way OSU actually plays. Excited to learn these over the next 48 hrs. Tackling is so much cleaner. As someone who uses the right stick to tackle always, lining up kill shots was gratifying. I forced 3 fumbles just by setting guys up for big hits. It didn't feel like a crapshoot playing D; last year if I didn't get a quick sack or jump a route, it always felt like the computer picked up chunks of yards. I held Texas to 64 yards on 29 plays (yeah, I need to play on Heisman). DL play feels the same and I won't complain about that. I got 6 sacks on 24 dropbacks On O the run game works and makes sense. Patience is important though, if you blow by your blockers good luck. Meanwhile pass pro was so much better. Didn't get sacked despite attempting 29 passes. Overall I'm pleased. Feels familiar but improved. Curious to see how I feel after a half dozen more games tonight lol
Any new insights gleaned from playbooks would be appreciated. Especially the cha he's on the defensive side that were talked about. Tia
I was so overwhelmed in game 1, I haven't even dug into custom zones or twists/stunts on DL but steering your blocker was nice in order to set the edge on run downs as I dig in I'll definitely keep you in mind for the defensive adjustments
you have 8 choices Left Exit 2 Man Left Tex 2 Man Left Tom 2 Man Right Exit 2 Man Right Pirate 3 Man Right Tex 2 Man Right Tom 2 Man El Paso 4 Man (nod to Necessary Roughness? "Andre on an El Paso stunt" lol)
Looking at the depth chart, two new additions at the end Spoiler They added a third RB role. Still have 3rd down back and power back but added "GAD". Also added Nose Tackle. So you have your normal DT depth chart. Then your rush DTs, and now you can select your nose
Stats for teams is more robust Now when you look at the leaders (overall, by conference) you see per game averages along with things like yards per play. No YPC or YPA though. But you do see how many pass and rush yards they do per game which is nice Red zone stats still suck. The computer just doesn't count them right so it throws the percentage off due to an inflated denominator
How do you get the actual beta? I put the code in it worked but after I clicked “get” nothing happened. Now the code says it was already used.
you are on Xbox, right? go your game library and find CF 26. install it from there. mine took like 25-30 min to install
Visits being tied to distance they live from your school is pretty nice Kids from Cali cost me 40 hrs while kids in Ohio are just 10 A kid from Oklahoma cost 25 while a Florida or Texas kid was 30 Need more examples, but you might get discounts based on if they come from a pipeline. Not sure if South Florida is just 30 (non pipeline) while Central Florida is 25 (is a pipeline)
another note from depth charts the kids development trait is visible on the card to the right. that also has 5 pages of info you can scroll with right stick. page 1 is physical and mental traits plus dev trait page 2 is key attributes based on the position in the depth chart (ie CB shows zone and man cov, awareness, tackle, pursuit, acceleration) page 3 is his deal breaker page 4 is his wear & tear, season health, risk of injury page 5 is his stats (GS, tackles, assists, sacks, PBU, INT)
sooooo many more awards. and the entire history of each one plus all NC history and Conference titles awards: National Titles Conference Titles Heisman Bear Bryant CoY Broyles Unitas Golden Arm Davey O'Brien Edge Rusher of the Year (so no Hendricks) Biletnikoff Bednarik Nagurski Doak Walker John Mackey Lombardi Lou Groza Maxwell Walter Camp Outland Jim Thorpe Ray Guy Rimington Returner of the Year Butkus
both the depth chart menu and roster menu show the same 5 tabs with the same information but there is no column where you can sort all your elite, star, impact, and normals
you can now edit a player's style Spoiler so last year you could pick a throw style for a qb this year you can pick his throw style and how he holds it in the pocket you can also set ball carry style, run style, QB shotgun and under center stance, HB 2 point stance, WR stance, LB stance, and CB stance) each one has 3 to 10 styles
I'm 4-0 and in week 6 I have the #2 class with 6 five stars and 3 four stars. Georgia has the top class with three 5 stars and 16 four stars lol. USC is the only other team to get a commit from a five star at this point I lead for 9 other fives and sit 2nd for 2 others. Also currently have 2 fours on the board; 1st and 2nd for those guys
Probably yes. I don't even have bonus hours over 50 to devote to recruits yet. Last year I could designate 75 or 80 hrs to kids; once I get there I'll sign 17 fives a cycle again I started with 25 guys on my board and still have 22 on it with no new additions
If the guys couldn’t hear an audible every once in awhile, whatever that’s fine. But having dudes wide open and there’s not even an icon above them is such a joke lol
