I have been patiently awaiting the return of superior CFB gaming franchise 989 studios' Gamebreaker for many years now.
i have a dynasty in 2009 that i hope to finish one day. play every game and every week of recruiting. think i left off a few years back about 23 years in won the first 18 years in a row then inexplicably forgot how to play and lost to 3-8 duke and then 3 more games in a row before righting the ship always liked creating recruits. made a maxed out 5'4" LT that was the highest rated player in the game but actually sucked on the field. made myself as a recruit but the dickhead chose fsu over unc
ncaa 2006 vince young was unstoppable played a year with him on ps2 recently (thanks BuckeyeRiot ) and on 5 min quarters he had quite the year
Used to make a few players that were maxed out. I would max out all their stats and make them awful at kicking/punting and make them kickers. Class full of no star hall of famers
Would always edit my best players to include the following: colored tape on their feet, the thin arm bands, and usually a clear visor.
I processed every JUCO player that the computer would always add to my roster. Ran a very clean program
Lol the suspensions were the best. I'd slap the shitty players hard and suspend Ted Ginn for a quarter
There was a play on 06 where Santonio Holmes and Ted Ginn were in twins. One of them would run a post and the other would run a post corner. It was unstoppable
loved just letting anything go lol at the ncaa threatening to get involved if you didnt suspend a guy for showing up late to a team meeting
I played with Clemson on NCAA 07. James Davis, CJ Spiller, that fast little WR (Ford I think). They had two awesome DE's Sapp and Bowers maybe? I destroyed people that played with Florida on the reg.
I remember getting bored and trying to recruit only white players. CBs and RBs were real hard to come by until the most recent game. Had to convert a lot of safeties and wide receivers. I do the same for NBA 2K with the fantasy draft. Can put together a pretty good team if you include the Euros.
If you consistently lobbed it to Calvin Johnson or ran direct snaps with Adrian Peterson or Reggie Bush you should've been executed on the spot.
1. Recruit based on speed and acceleration only 2. Move fastest players to QB, RB, RB2, WR, FB, in that order 3. Georgia Tech playbook 4. ???????? 5. nattys
Rocked option attack on NCAA 06 for many nights from 11 pm-5 am in the summer/fall of 05. Simpler times
I can't remember If it was that one or the next year, but there was a version where the Washington Huskies defense was atrocious. There was one pass play that I could literally put any player it allowed me to put at slot receiver and it was a touchdown every time. Loved it.
I only ever played like 3 versions of this game. I liked the version that had recruiting as just 5-6 weeks in the offseason the best. I didn't like the version that had CPU controlled LBs backpedal faster than my starting WRs run foward and jumping 10 feet in the air to knock down every pass. That version sucked.
Did anyone else like to play with Georgia Techs offense? I always enjoyed getting really good players and fast athletes in their offense and having a legit QB under center.
My first game was 06 with Desmond Howard on the cover. In the player mode you started off with an ugly girlfriend and upgraded as you got better.
