The role playing elements that ea could have started implementing decades ago if they weren't so fucking lazy and uninspired must be the lowest hanging fruit in the entire videogame industry. I also wish the recruiting were more configurable. I'd love to be able to set up a recruiting board, delegate recruiters and not have to micromanage every single week's individual recruitment to have any chance at success. Would love to be able to burn through a couple of simmed seasons relatively quickly.
Also I felt like 14 really fucked up the recruiting ranking equations, where all of a sudden p much every 5* was a guaranteed 80-85 and every 3* was high 60s almost without exception.
This is NCAA10 but something I noticed last night that made me laugh. Due to being a created Cupcake school that’s currently on probation I get 8-9 recruits per year. This resulted in my OL being being 5 walk ons. They are all true sophomores, one is a 62 overall, three are 65 overall, then I have a random center that’s 84.
i mean this isnt completely inaccurate. if im a 6* program with a coach who has a mexed rwcruiting tree insta-commit will trigger way more than 15% of the time.
My 14 game on 360 only works like 15% of the time I try to play. Random times it will work right when I turn on the 360. Other times it never works even after an hour of opening and closing the game trey. Same thing happened with another game I tried so it's probably an issue with my 360. Hurry up and make this game EA so I, a married 32 year old, can play more video games.
In HS a friend took a huge rip off the bowl, looks at us, and coughs out "USER BIG HIT" He peaked at that moment
Just got my 2nd set of sanctions in five years on NCAA 10: 15 less scholarships for 3 seasons No games on TV for 2 seasons No bowl/championship games for 2 years Wow
Easiest way to build an unbeatable dynasty in this game is to abuse the insta commit glitch and the player progression. You have 70 spots and should be redshirting everyone except kickers, punters, and FBs. The recruiting profile should look this: Every year: QB HB TE WR OT OG DE DT OLB MLB CB Alternating years: CB / WR FS / SS C As needed: K, P, FB
basically never play a kid who isn't a RS senior or JR. By recruiting that profile every year you constantly have well developed upperclassmen at every position except the ones that don't matter (K/P/FB)
Yeah honestly it's pretty boring. I went undefeated for something like 11 years in the SEC with that approach simming all games. I enjoyed figuring out the strategy for optimizing, but I don't play like that anymore.
I agree completely if you're playing the games. I have two dynasties - one sim only and one that I play. Archetype is (obviously) way more important in the dynasty where I play the games.
Mine just started doing the same thing. I took it apart and the laser seems to randomly get stuck in the outer position. If you try loading a dvd movie when it won't load a game, it might move the laser. My console currently looks pretty steampunk b/c I left the plastic off in case I have to get into it again.
that's fair. i won 10/11 with uab doing recruiting only but i think that's the only franchise i ever played like that. most of my experience was in small online franchise. i tend to like the ones with very few people more than full leagues. it's just a lot faster.
Man cheating at recruiting is boring. I take the L and remove the player from my board when I know I’m not getting him.
Update: In a slightly controversial decision Salt Lake State University has offered me a six year extension showing their commitment to the program Im building. We will either stick it to the NCAA or get the death penalty, but either way, we’re in this together!
I am. The issue is I’ve had so many suspensions by the second half of the season I’ve run out of points so I literally can’t suspend anyone so I have the inmates running the asylum until the NCAA has had to step in. I put a bunch of my budget on discipline heading into this season though, and in the off season I used extra recruiting points to “scout” every player to see their discipline score (didn’t realize I could do that before), resulted in less points for actual recruiting but hopefully it pays off in the long run.
Go full renegade. I want to see how it ends up. If I remember right I did it once and got the death penalty. Literally killed my dynasty.
I don’t have much wiggle room that’s for sure. I’m heading into year six and this will be my 3rd year of sanctions (first set was two years, this set is now three years starting with my upcoming)
what’s the instacommit glitch and does it work in online dynasty? Asking for me, who needs to beat the shit out of a friend in recruiting.
I believe they were saying that if the kid doesn’t instant commit to just keep withdrawing their offer and re-offer them
yes it does work online. 3 points in instacommit give you a 15% chance at it. you offer, if they don't accept then rescind it, back all the way out of recruiting, repeat as necessary.
EA wants the same thing and the game is a ways off. So I would still be optimistic that this only makes it better.
Ok so offer recruit that has you 1st on his list in week one, if he doesn’t commit remove him from your board, back out of recruiting and then re-add him and offer again? Repeat until he commits? Can this be done anytime after week 1? I am fascinated by this.
