Honestly no. I couldn't care less about that stuff. I wouldn't even know where to check mine. But if you want to think more people are playing offline career mode than online mycareer, go for it. I don't have time to argue today. Maybe tomorrow though.
Here are screenshots from the Xbox app and the PlayStation app. It literally tells you the % of users that play the game that have achieved each thing. Seems significantly more PlayStation users have created a DD team and it’s still only at 55.6%. On Xbox, it’s 33.33%. For FIFA, I didn’t grab FUT but looking at the modes where people may play online with friends (Volta and Pro Clubs) I grabbed screenshots of literally just winning 1 match and they’re all under 10% for both Xbox One and Series S/X.

Don't you get the game free on Xbox with the pass or whatever? Seems like a lot of people download the game and never actually get into it. PS would be a much better base to look at as those people actually have to buy the game. I have lots of games I've downloaded for free on PS+ and never even opened.
I believe that if you don’t actually play the game that you don’t count as one of the users. You’d have to actually play it. Even so 55/45 on PlayStation is not how you’ve made it out to be
I would also very much like to see DBL spend time getting good at FIFA and then play a game against CPU on Legendary or Ultimate. I play FIFA online way more than I do the Show and it’s way easier to play users than the highest difficulty vs cpu
The whole debate just gets old. Offline nerds constantly whine "Why don't they care about me and my $60!?!?!!" like damn, just play a different game. Go play Zelda or Tecmo Bowl. Games are going to follow the money. The offline guys blame online guys that their experience isn't better. I wish games spent zero time in developing offline modes and 100% on making online better but I sure as shit don't whine to offline guys about it telling them they are making the game worse for me. If a game isn't good for you, don't buy it. Whining about it and blaming others is lame though. Got some work to do now
Exclusively play MyPlayer offline in The Show. It bugs me to no end that just running a regular multi-season franchise offline in that game is so incredibly difficult. I just want to recreate the 2003 Marlins and be left in peace. I've played locked player online leagues in NBA2k and a bunch of offline franchise and MyPlayer. Played in TMB's online Madden league for a couple seasons and you're all cheesy as fuck. I won't tag you all but you know who you are(it didn't help that I hadn't played Madden in years and didn't regularly play outside of online games). My favorite online experience was probably the small school league that used to get run in NCAA years back. It's a good mix of difficult CPU with an average team and online league opponents sprinkled into your scheduled. I'd be totally in on one of those again. Micro transactions can lick my balls. There is no end of content in sports games - you're chasing the ability to spend money because development companies will always dangle the next carrot to get your money. Paying money to have your team/player better online for about 6 months, only to start all over when the next version releases is foolish af. But I've seen dbl's shoe collection so I know damn good and well that my input on where he spends his money is useless.
I read this as "You all ran more than HB dive and out routes and I lost so you're cheesy." I've been there.
It's been years and like I said, I was only there for a couple seasons. I didn't have time to play back then but I may look at jumping back in with life changes offering me more free time. It would have been Madden 18 or 19, honestly. I remember that the primary defensive strategy was drafting the tallest, fastest LB and just playing midfield for any and all passes.
See my followup post. Other than skiedfrillet 's adoration for scrambling QBs, the offense cheese wasn't so bad. Defense is where it typically sucked with nano blitzes and aforementioned god mode MLBs.
the league is pretty stable now and has a lot of solid people in it imo. unortunately this is still the meta on defense especially since our league bans nano-blitz schemes. offense is where the cheese has gotten really bad. deep crossing routes are unbelievably OP.

Basically formations and shifts that will free a defender to walk untouched through an OL every time. There's literally no way to block it because the AI can't figure it out, even if you have a RB back to block.
Unless it's changed, it used to be a blitz where you aligned your guys in a certain way and the OL wouldn't block at least 1 guy at all. Your QB would get sacked before he finished his drop. If those still exist, yikes Madden.
They'll always exist because - and this is the argument that many are making in here - the effort isn't put into making the AI smart enough to handle it. It's obviously never the same formations/shifts year-to-year but there will always be something. The only way to get around it is to ban them from your league.
OR people figure out a way around whatever code they tried to put in. Everything in the game is just codes and reactions to codes. It isn't living, breathing AI no matter how much the industry tries to use that term when describing sports games. With the science of actual AI it's always a bit misplaced to me when they expect a sports video game to be the pioneer of it. I think the "big issue" is games look real enough now that people expect them to act as real as they look. And that hasn't quite caught up yet. But instead of being mad about it, just accept it for what it is
essentially a blitz that no matter what adjustment the offense makes leaves one or more pass rushers getting instant pressure on the QB due to a bunch of memorized pre-snap adjustments. Ex. 1) Call a certain play out of a certain defensive formation, 2) shift the DL right 3) audible the MLB into a blitz and line him up over the RG 4)At the snap user the MLB into coverage This would cause the RG and RT to block air and allow the DE and blitzing LB a free shot at the QB. There is no way to counter it because the AI is broken and the adjustments have caused the RG and RT to both attempt to block the MLB they belive is about to blitz even though you drop him into coverage.
Are the poor's keeping people on the old system for the league still or have we moved to the new system for the league.
league is next gen at this point but a broken franchise mode is preventing us from starting the league.
