The guy doing the Pac-12 needs to get a move on. Has only done like Arizona, Utah, and Washington. Who fucking cares about those teams?
In case anyone from EA is reading this: I would absolutely still buy the game if it was released with truly generic players.
Yeah, how hard would it be to release it with everything but the players being accurate? All the recruits are generic anyway, just make the initial rosters that way too. Maybe have some sort of filter that populates the rosters based on ranking or something, and then have wide open editing and let the community have at it. If they really wanted to be on the ball they could release a "demo" that included the editing feature so we could get a jump on the rosters.
Gameplay is secondary to dynasty mode for me. I buy the game to get 20 seasons deep with New Mexico State. I think there is (was) a lot of room for improvement there too but even as is its still good for ~50 hours of entertainment easy.
Probz put 1k hours on 14 alone. Give me that exact game with reliable servers, deeper dyansty shit, a strafe button, customizable playoffs, and no fucking ball hawk shit and i'll buy 8 copies
EA's issue is that the schools pulled out. They would have to release a game with generic players, schools, stadiums, etc. Pretty big risk to spend a bunch of money to make a game with so many unknown variables. So far EA hasn't felt it was worth the risk and I don't blame them. Though, they could probably release a game that is nothing but the Ultimate team mode they had in 2014 and make an absolute killing
It's waaaay outdated, but it looks like you can still get Front Office Football The College Years for $10. I killed many many hours on this game back in the day. http://www.solecismic.com/tcy/index.php
Ultimate team was dumb to do in hindsight because it just cemented that they needed to compensate the players
yea, its like $10 a season. just went on that site for the first time in about 10 years. each season lasts 5 weeks. so you are looking at $100 a year to play. It is a lot of fun once you figure it out, but that is a lot of money to play text based sim game. Bought a 3 season package way back. took over some depleted DIII team in omaha, cheated my ass off by offering low tier DII recruits bags of cash, won the MNC in year 2, got put on probation and then pulled a calipari and jumped to a DII program for the last season while the old team dealt with a ton of restrictions. Pretty sure they fixed that immediately afterwards and made the restrictions stay with the coach instead of the program.
Even though they claimed to "fix it", computer controlled LBs still had super human jumping ability to pick off passes.
http://www.operationsports.com/foru...aa-football-14-2016-17-roster-update-ps3.html 104 teams are done.
I stopped reading when I saw release 2019. Hopefully they're just trying to prompt EA to getting their shit back together.
Every time I see this thread bumped without EA announcing a new game, my heart breaks all over again :(
Check Operation Sports, I am pretty sure there is. http://www.operationsports.com/foru...k-first-post-updates-gamertag-cajunomics.html
There is going to be a game on the market before the two guys above blow through $850,000 in crowdfunding toward their 2019 goal.
