The NYT is dogshit because of passive voice headlines and reprehensible opinion writers but it’s still the “paper of record” in the United States.
Ya, however we may feel about it at any given time, the Washington post, NYT, and to a lesser extent the WSJ and LA Times are significant and important aspects of American life
I don’t think Elon understands (because he’s an idiot) that his punitive removal of the NYT’s verification doesn’t hurt the entity itself but the 50+ million people who deserve to know that the information being beamed directly into their phones is not misinformation.

He benefits greatly from people being misinformed. The only organizations that would go after an Elon Musk's business practices is someone like a NYT. It's very convenient.

the funniest thing is seeing something trending, clicking on it to see why it's trending, and only to be fed tweets from a week ago from just random accounts at the top of the page.
It seems like most of the "changes" under Musk have been rolled out, been met with immediately backlash and subsequently reverted back to the way it was originally. You know, efficient business practices.
Ive been pretty good about curating my timeline and limited any affect some of the other changes have to my scrolling enjoyment, but the retweet thing is awful
