On the other hand, starting with Rivals, posters have suffered fools for a long time simply because the fools had the basic skills necessary to create a username and log in. At some point individual posters get tired of suffering fools until it's a critical mass of posters. Call it salesmanship or just plan failing / not meeting the target but where is the lie? Setting an unreasonable goal and failing is a common mgmt technique, the thinking being that people will go farther in an absolute sense chasing an impossible goal than setting a "reasonable" goal and hitting it. Real ones know. 2. Workplace discrimination suits are extremely common in companies the size of Tesla. Like Amazon and Tesla get the pub from the media because of their high profile CEO's and involvement of politicians, but these things happen all the time at boring companies like Johnson and Johnson and Georgia Pacific. Saying Elon is racist because Tesla has had discrimination suits is a non-sequitur. It's quite frankly dumb. I know this is going to get a poor reaction, but it is factually correct. To summarize, he's a pariah because of his outlandish personality. Things that wouldn't be indications of racism for a normal CEO (e.g., workplace discriminations) in a normal company are, to many, somehow conclusive. Who's responsible for the problems in these workplaces? Musk gets credit for anything and everything at any place he's associated with but gets no blame when things go south? That's honestly incredible. You love capitalism but do you see a pattern with all these places having a mountain of lawsuits? If you don't care about these lawsuits then that's fine just say that but don't pretend there aren't huge problems when those type of things are happening. In addition to others, the "secured funding" tweet was objectively false. That's a lie. A jury awarded one of the plaintiffs $137 million. That's not something that happens "all the time." It was one of the largest discrimination verdicts of all time. That alone does not make Musk a racist, but his handling and treatment of the litigation has certainly not done anything to show that he's not a racist. Shareholders have sued him for breach of fiduciary duty for his failure to address the climate giving rise to the suits and the handling thereof. You can call it "extremely common" all you want to, but it is not.
