I trust absolutely 0% of the numbers Tesla puts out, especially those based on a per mile basis, after the way they fucked with odometers.
i mean the fine print on the chart gives it away; it only counts as a crash for Tesla if autopilot was disengaged within a few seconds of the crash and airbags deployed. given the fatal crash data linked above and other data showing Teslas are involved in more total crashes than other cars (https://www.forbes.com/sites/steveb...-the-highest-accident-rate-of-any-auto-brand/), I see four possible, non- mutually exclusive explanations 1) autopilot is responsible for lots of crashes 2) Tesla drivers off autopilot are orders of magnitude worse than all other drivers 3) the vast majority of crashes listed above by “other” cars aren’t significant enough to cause airbag deployment 4) that data is totally cooked
I like the idea that he went for a drug test at one of those walk in places you go before you can start a job
You know it's real because they couldn't even quantify any of those drugs, they left all the values as blank!
Teslas autopilot miles are racked up on the interstate where the fewest accidents per mile happen anyway
I mean, that's the only place I would trust mine, and even then... I basically use it on open highway, in the middle lane, with very few cars around me.
Self Driving Tesla/Waymo/whatever is next/Uber "Shared Vans" will be the closest thing the US gets to public mass transportation and replacing people self Driving
My understanding is the self driving that Teslas are capable of is basically the equivalent of adaptive cruise control and lane assist that's on tons of cars
Our Highlander has this so i guess I'll be napping behind the wheel when we drive to mountains in the fall.
FWIW, my car always freaks out and beeps at me when I'm on self drive and I even look down at my phone for more than 2-3 seconds. If it yells at me like 3 times in a trip, the self drive function deactivates until I stop the car. I have no idea how anybody could literally take a nap or anything like that.
I don’t care to ever use a self-drive feature. 1. I enjoy driving. 2. When I die I want it to be my own fucking fault.
The basic one yes, the very expensive one is full self driving where you put in the address of where you want to go and it does everything for you.
Hahahahah, what a waste of so much money. That fireball was enormous, it looked like they pointed the camera at the sun.
There is some logic behind failing fast in certain contexts, but this just seems a little bit excessive. They have cash to burn and apparently it doesn't matter
Strap some billionaires on top of those rockets and start sending them to the moon and mars! They look ready, sir
