It's just something I've been thinking about lately. Not Whammy specifically. Does anyone really care if he admits he was wrong? Probably glad he doesn't so we can continue to dunk on him because it makes us feel good. But it will never get him to admit he was wrong. I know this is coming off as finger wagging and its really not meant to be. But the immediate jumping on people we disagree w it feels more virtual signaling than anything. Its cathartic, but unproductive. Feel like we can do better to defend our position that is more persuasive. I'll prob get shit for this and so be it. More a general sentiment I've been thinking about. I'm certainly not gonna die on this hill for an idiot like Whammy
You don't get to spend years including your most recent posts being an arrogant jackass who has proven himself to be historically incorrect without taking a little medicine. You take it on the chin or youre in stasis while your peers mock you
I assumed there was some solidarity from the standpoint of tmb running things into the ground impacting you both
Over 200 posts of trying to be the smartest guy in the room in this thread alone. This horse has several more beatings in it https://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?search/12209204/
jokes about your shitty steak have definitely been over done but you, notably, did not pass yourself off as an expert cook and make tone deaf references to your skill in the kitchen in other threads while first defending your dish for months and then ignoring it
Ohhhh the steak. I was trying to think of a bad take I got mocked for. Lol. Still flawless in that column!
It's not like it was one post. He was overly aggressive and condescending. And it lasted for a long long time. If he mentioned anything wrt being incorrect he'd stop being tagged relentlessly. I think him blocking this thread and anyone who tags him feeds into ppl tagging him
He's basically the east coast version of TheChatch He blocks ppl form seeing his profile so you can't see his last activity, but still reads the board and likes posts
One of my coworkers got a cyber truck. It's his 4th Tesla he's owned. He's always been a Tesla nerd but otherwise is a good guy. He powered his house with it while he was out of power due to Helene.
