Welcome back to our temporarily astray #Newcastle United friends.
Would've been a great gif for Ned Yocho and Tony Wonder
That is in fact esteemed user and beloved friend Ned on the left.
Bitches love the bandolier and crossbow.
Kind of relevant but not really but I unfollowed UCL on twitter and got in on that Europa trash.
Like handling girlfriends. I admire the dedication.
FUCK YOU CHAMPIONS LEAGUE! WE DIDN'T LIKE YOU ANYWAY!
(just kidding, I love you UCL. take me back pls.)
Going to London in late September. Looking forward to seeing what games I could go to, if they don't get changed between now and then.
I want to go over Boxing Day/New Year's. Anyone else considering it?
Yes, though I doubt flight prices drop enough for me to pull the trigger.
just do it you jerk
what three stadii would you want to see most?
Stadium of Light, Darkness and bet365.
I have a price alert set-up and will jump on any deal if I see it, since the main reason I'm looking is our Holiday office closure (aka forced to use vacation days).
If I were staying in and around London I'd go to the Cottage, maybe one of Emirates/Stamford Bridge, and then Selhurst Park. Ideally Sunderland would have an away game at Fulham/Brentford/QPR/Millwall (R.I.P. me).
I'm not going to fucking Millwall.
But I want one Spurs home match, then otherwise I don't care
Just FYI Spurs will be at Wembley
Yeah that's why they're out of my top 3 for next year.
that's the reason I want to go
is there something I'm missing? that would be dope
I've been over there twice during that time period. Boxing Day the tube is usually shut down so getting to the matches is kind of a pain if in London. Also beware of schedule changes if booking in advance. My buddy got tickets for us to go to Chelsea/Arsenal on Boxing Day but it got moved for TV to the next day.....we couldn't go because it was his wedding day.
Me and my dad are trying to go over in January. Hoping the January schedule with cup games gives me a chance to see a ton of games
Tickets will be fairly cheap and easier to get your hands on. Last season was kind of weird there only playing UCL, it didn't feel like a home ground. Hopefully this season the team will feel more at home playing every single match there. Doubt we go unbeaten like at WHL last season but it won't be the disaster other clubs are hoping for. A couple easy matches to start the league schedule would help.
Tottenham open away against Newcastle, cool. Chelsea at home 2nd weekend.
Welcome to the Prem, Brighton. You get to play Man City week 1. Woof.
Looks like I'll be going to Spurs at West Ham. I'll be there the weekend of September 23. Any different game people think I should go to in London? Spurs and Chelsea are on the road and I'm sure as hell not going to the emrites.
Spurs opening up with an L. That's unfortunate
"Can't wait to choose Pickford for Fantasy PL"
Wow that's fucking ridiculous.
Saturday 12/23 - Arsenal - Liverpool at Emirates
Tuesday 12/26 - ManU - Burnley at Old Trafford
Saturday 12/30 - Chelsea - Stoke at Stamford Bridge or Spurs - West Ham at Wembley
Monday 1/1 - Arsenal - Chelsea at Emirates
I could make that work
Thank you for your concern, Ts and Ps appreciated
could be worse.
What's everyone's end of year look like?

What kind of fucked policy is that that you have to use vacation days at a specified time?
Our office closes between xmas eve and the day after new years because clients generally are off, meaning there's not that much work to go around, meaning the firm doesn't want to pay us to sit around.
They frame it as allowing us to have a distraction free, relaxing Holiday break but we have to use our floater days (if any are left) and vacation days for the work days that aren't the Xmas day, Boxing day, New Year's day holiday.
yeah, that's not how vacation days are supposed to work...
I'd be finding a new job with the quickness. I'm not usually busy between Christmas and New Years but the firm doesn't shutdown. I usually take a few days when I'm back east visiting and then just work from home and watch the bowls for the rest.
What happens if you have none of those days left if you've used them already?
friendship with champions league over
europa league new best friendship
My wife's office closes from Christmas through New Years but they aren't counted as vacation days. That's pretty awesome.
Would be nice. Get 4 weeks PTO as is so I can't really complain. Just have to move my mouse a few times an hour so little difference.
isn't he Canadian?
When do games get moved to Sunday? Is it not until UCL and EL groups are drawn?
Looking through schedules trying to plan out what games I can see, and as of now every one is scheduled for Saturdays
Yeah although Canada and the US are pretty similar re: working culture (i.e. shitty).
You'd be able to figure some out of the games now I believe. Like if you play Arsenal the weekend after a Europa group stage match day it will be the sunday.
Champions League depends on if it's Tues/Wed which isn't known until the group stage draw.
Yea after I posted it clicked that I'm looking in January to go over, which there wouldn't even be continental matches at the time.
Have to think that some of the games on 1/13 and 1/20 would be moved to the 14th and 21st, respectively. I'm wanting to try and hit 2 games each weekend when I'm there
Yeah I don't think there's a way to know which teams move until much closer.
That's upsetting. Guess I'll just have to lock up the matches I for sure want to attend and hope I can get lucky for a midweek/Sunday game. Looking at the schedules I think the only guarantees would be a game at St. James, and then one at Goodison
Yeah an Arsenal guy I follow actually put a disclaimer on the regular season schedule today explicitly stating not to make ANY travel plans. For such a diverse league that's watched all over the place it's pretty dumb.
Yea. I'll probably only get 2 of the games in advance and just hope we can find some outside the stadiums for whatever matches we go to on top of the others.
