Oh god now we are in the point in the season where English announcers are going to get excited for English players at the World Cup. Sterling won’t have the service for England obviously.
No one watching/talking about the ManU/WBA match? Probable penalty for United denied by the ref, but not a bad start for West Brom overall, a couple of chances and decently calm in possession.
Lack of attacking impetus for United. West Brom's shape at the back hasn't even been perfect. As they've gained a bit of confidence at the goalless scoreline, they're occasionally sending Gibbs forward and being a bit exposed, but it's come to nothing.
I have it on in the background but are you really surprised nobody's watching the league's most boring team vs. the league's worst team?
Two inverted wingers + two fullbacks who don’t overlap well = everyone standing around in the middle being marked easily
Every City fan ought to be watching (a la everyone cheering against Tottenham/for Leicester two seasons ago via the Battle at the Bridge). The rest of the top 4 including myself cheering for dropped points to close the gap on second.
Not at the start of the match, no. There are now 45 less minutes for ManU to capitalize though, so the slim chances of dropped points increases with each wasted minute.
For the record I never said that I wasn't watching nor that I didn't think they had chance just that it was a shitty game that I don't blame anyone for not watching
The difference is everyone knows city has the league wrapped up. There was still a chance Leicester wasn’t going to win the league.
We are going to win the league. It’s April 15th, we actually want United to get at least 4 points between today and Wednesday so we can clinch at home Sunday
And in the second half they peppered the goal better and ran into a perfect Foster In the first half Mourinho set the team up as four stay home defenders, and six central players. Miserable
4 shots on target all game. Sure it was better, but it was still a crap game. Don’t see how you can try and say it wasn’t/hasn’t been all year.
You seem thirsty for an argument. Where have I said anything of the sort? In case you’re actually interested in my opinion, I’ve been arguing for a while now that the way Mourinho sets us up is detrimental to the club and its brand, and was specifically unacceptable in the Sevilla tie
You said only the first half tactics were shit, and rationalized it by saying you peppered the goal and dealt with a perfect Ben Foster. United had all of 4 shots on target. My point this the tactics in general were crap, not limited to just a first half
