Crazy story, you know how on the fields there is generally a band of dark green and then light green? Helps linesmen, I imagine. Anyways, every single throw-in I've ever seen has been granted an almost +/- one band of green. "egregious" "shenanigans," my pale ass.
You throw the ball in where it goes out of play. Yes players take a step or two, but what Rose did shouldn’t have been allowed
Oh yeah...definitey happens while the thrower is on the run and using the momentum to get the ball over the defense
Today was the ultimate Dean-o match. Spurs, goals that shouldn’t have happened, shithousing, not sending someone off for studs up challenge. It had it all.
Just to be sure I understand, you are or are not saying that every running throw like that should be called back? I'll put the over/under of "running throw-ins allowed" today at 8 and "running throw-ins called back" at 0, place your bets.
I'm hugely disappointed in our effort today btw, Dean was whatever but it's Poch and the players' responsibility to get the job done despite that. Burnley had a stout defense and we never got a chance to counter because despite their initial heavy press, they never overcommitted bodies. When we slow played the ball up the field, they were like 10 or 11 behind the ball, which is difficult for anyone to break down. Tarkofsky (sp?) in particular was crucial. Well done to the Clarets and a bit of shame to the squad for looking ahead a bit to a grueling week upcoming.
No, really? While you watch your game, please count up the number of throw-ins that were taken from wrong positions and how many are called back by the refs. How many free kicks are taken from slightly advanced positions even.
Usually the 1-2 steps doesn't make an impact on the match, that's why it's not called. This one had a direct impact on the score. You can't allow that.
That happens, same with free kicks trying to be pushed forward. How many are called back once thrown?
