Even if the Premier League starts up behind closed doors what are the lower leagues suppose to do, play without their main/only form of revenue? Who gets promoted?
I don't know the numbers but I suspect after the Championship, the revenue amounts are not as large when it come to relegation/promotion. They could freeze the table and promote/relegate based on where it is. Its still not fair but the stakes aren't nearly as high.
I think LIV winning would be even funnier than it being vacated. It'll be brought up that the one they cherish so much wasn't "earned" and even though everyone will know it was earned, it will still irk Liverpool fans forever
I don't 100% agree, but would you rather have a title and vacate it five years later or win like this? I bet 99% of people would say the former
Absolutely, Signed someone who had conference titles taken and then given back. The celebration is most of the title. You can “take away” titles but people remember.
Wait.. you don’t think Liverpool fans will celebrate? As soon as they announce Liverpool as champs corona will be the least of anyone’s concerns there.
Won’t be an on-pitch moment. When Leicester clinched the PL is my most favorite sporting moment that has nothing to do with my teams. It was incredible. LFC being handed a paper title is just as good as not winning it.
Ehhhh I don’t think 1 Liverpool fan will complain. The hurt of not winning the league will be over which is the only thing most cared about... Especially after winning Europe just last season. They will take the league any way possible. I mean there was a slim chance if City dropped points we weren’t gonna win it on the field any way
Why the fuck is nbcsn showing shortened versions of old matches? Show the whole fucking thing. You’ve got plenty of time to kill!
UK isn't taking this seriously at all, they're about to get crushed. I'd be shocked if they resume this season in the next 8 weeks.
Was on my normal Monday conference call and the Irish said to the Brit. "Boris is making Trump look like he's competent." It was solid global banter.
