In many cases yeah but I don’t think it’s impossible for kids to learn that solely from the internet if they fall in the wrong places/communities.
I don't know, when I was younger, I found myself watching Entourage and reading 4chan. I don't think my parents encouraged these behaviors.
That didn’t lead to you sending extremely racist shit to a professional footballer. The willingness to put that on social media isn’t something a 12yo learns themselves and actually does. They see that shit from their parents/family
True, I never went that far, but I also didn't have access to anyone famous, didn't have Rooney or whoever's AIM name. I grew up single parent household, so the lack of attention and excess of freedom gave me license to learn from the internet or media I chose to consume. But there are 100% a ton of kids growing up in hateful households and know nothing else but that hate being cool.
