Is this even the case? Is it not only handled differently if it directly impacts a goal, regardless of if that happens inside or outside of the box?
A lot of people on her continue to argue it was the right call based on the new rules. I don't think anyone is arguing against you. Hard to blame City fans for being upset in the moment on having an extra time goal overturned that no one saw as an issue before hand. But I think once the moment passed and the game ended, I don't see anyone arguing that it was a bad call.
I think the handball rule says in the buildup to a goal, I don't think it makes a difference inside or outside the box
I believe this is correct. Any build up to a goal. Doesn’t matter where it occurs. I’m not 100% sure on the interpretation of “build up to a goal” I really hope it’s not as delayed and dumb as the offside rule via replay is on hockey.
We’re going to have the same fucking argument at least twice a week for the entire season. It’s going to be fun.
I could be wrong but I believe the handball has to either create the goal directly or the player who gained possession from the handball has to create the goal for it to be disallowed. I don't think a handball followed by several passes and then a goal would be called back.
Tbf I meant to say that it’s been arbitrary the goals they have overturned or what they have considered penalties They have already missed several things
That was my first thought as well when i saw the replay. At this point it’s insignificant, but did they ever show a definitive view of this?
Sheffield keeper in a baseball hat? Not sure I’ve seen a keeper where one of those but I guess it makes sense if the sun is brutal facing that direction.
It is amazing Palace has been in the Premier League this long, and sans Zaha, this is the dogshit roster they have.
I get it, but instead of improving the squad around him, Zaha the Championship player is going to go for £20 in the summer.
the ref in the Chelsea game just got to the stadium because he was stuck in traffic. If he can't warm up in time then the 4th official will be the ref and it will be his first ever game.
