We’re a massive club baby. Conquered all of Europe and what not. I’m sure AV has a lot of recent trophies.
I thought Villa was a big club with lots of trophies. As someone that is new to this sport this is very confusing. Gallant Knight can you give me a history of recent successes?
I’m disappointed we don’t have some meaningless friendlies in Australia to not pay attention to this week.
Who else remembers that time when Villa simply needed to beat a very bad man united team to get champions league football but lost 2-0?
When did that happen? My memory is a little foggy with kids. Either way, I bet that hurt for Villa fans!
Was that any time around when United just had to be 17th placed Tottenham to get champions league but lost on an OG?
Villa blowing it is funny sure but I’ll admit to be quite annoyed that Chelsea bet the fucking farm laundering every asset in the books and hit the jackpot with champions league money. We deserve to see Leeds repeat itself.
To me, blowing the UCL as a Ground 14 member is preposterous. PSR, things of that nature. No worries, I hear the Jeddah Jaguars are looking to make a splash in goal!
Probably an terror attack but I did see at least 1 account mention an accident (video didn’t seem to show this) Our north of England editor, Josh Halliday, has spoken to another witness. Les Winsper, 55, witnessed the incident unfold right in front of him. “People started banging on the [car] windows,” he said. “Then they smashed the windows and he panicked and put his foot down. He then hit someone and that person has gone in the air and he’s ploughed through the rest of them. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Well, regarding cause for the incident Jenny Sims, the assistant chief constable of Merseyside police, urged people not to share misinformation about the incident and said it was not being treated as terror-related. She said: “What I can tell you is that we believe this to be an isolated incident and we are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with it. The incident is not being treated as terrorism.”
First window in almost 2 years where Newcastle can confidently spend money, and this happens. Hilarious.
Having seen the video, the car very much ended up in the wrong place (who knows how) and people were being very aggressive towards the car/driver (who knows why). I think the driver might have completely panicked fight/flight and made a horrific decision. It wasn’t like he had to stop where he did. Very hard to say. I hope everybody survives and it can be remembered as a distressing footnote to the parade.
