I feel like 2/3 of the game is just knowing where to go and not using shitty ammo I had like 800 damage absorbed by armor with some .366 tkm last night. It was great!
This scav event is dumb as hell. I have -0.29 Fence rep from when I didn't know what the hell I was doing, so the AI scavs are shooting me on sight. They would be neutral at 0
is this not the dumbest stupidest piece of shit event in the history of all video games? survey says yes 1000x times
Yeahhhhh that sucks. I’m at 4.8. It’s a big change this wipe. I like it actually compared to the past but I understand the complaint.
also i read that apparently scavs won't attack you as a pmc if you have +rep as pmc with fence? seems like this would be a hard way to play but would be awesome too
Yeah your Fence rep is from both scavs and PMC. It’s combined. Sometimes depending on when I get into raids as a Scav, I’ll go hang out at the combo extract (pmc needs a scav to leave). You get big Karma for that. I also took a lot of car extracts and you get .01 per successful scav extract and .03 for killing PMCs which depending on the map you can do.
That’s not true unless it’s a recent change. Scavs still scream at me. I haven’t played since Thursday though.
but my scav has a giant mosin silencer why would you ever "silence" a bolt-action rifle? i don't care but i want it
Hahahah silenced weapons let you do a lot especially with bolt actions. Usually it lets you get an extra shot or two off before being located depending on the map.
There’s always an early meta based on how the wipe is tweaked and it’s fun to figure out. Two wipes ago it was AP .366 rounds in the VPO-215 semi auto rifle. They would tear through t4 armor early. This wipe there was a lot of SKS with PS 7.62 and AK-74N running BT 5.45 until it was nerfed.
i encountered a bizarre bug earlier. tried to inspect some dope gun that i've never seen before on a dead body like a dozen times. some kind of m4 based on the outline. constant error messages. couldn't move it into my inventory because i couldn't inspect it. i was able to move its mags into my inventory. then got killed while i was looting. :|
On occasion there will be an error between what’s shown on the body and what’s actually there. If you can’t loot it, then it’s a visual bug and move along. Haha. Sorry you died.
12.12 is a big update but I’m still not sure what’s in it. Wipe wouldn’t shock me. They usually wipe around Christmas
Some guy literally watched me walk into a shipping container on woods, and waited for me to maximize my looting for 5 minutes and shot me in the head when I was 3 feet out the door
Also is there some discount going on or something? I've been killed by other player scavs when I'm doing scav runs like half a dozen times in the last couple of days
No people have just built up their rep to the point that killing you doesn’t hurt if they think you have something good
