I’ve been running reserve all night and I got nothing to show for it. Just trying to get SCAV kills in the warehouse underground, yet no damn scavs

I feel confident running solo downstairs in the bunker, but the warehouse just doesn’t spawn scavs for some reason.
I was recently baited into a grenade death. Was running factory with my buddy because he needs kills inside office. Dude grenades my friend, then acts like there’s another PMC nearby and says we should friend up. I don’t believe him, but sure, why not. I’m making my way through the lockers and just hear a nade thrown up from below and there I died.
The dude who killed me with the nade let me throw my insured stuff in a bush that no one would ever look in, much less on the ground. He took it after he killed me
I’m generally a very laid back person, but this game has me in villain mode. I’m all for making friends now and just head, nape from behind. Can’t trust anyone.
Yeah I power to through punisher kills on shoreline at resort. It’s painful but guaranteed. Sniper is way more fun to level on Lighthouse or Woods.

I heard a scav blasting shotgun shells inside the offices of factory. Me and another scav sketchily look in that direction. I say fuck this, I’m getting out. I go to the camera exit and the scav I was chilling with just domes me. Literally the definition of Tarkov. Although, I’ve been running SR-25 with M61 rounds and man is this game so much more fun.
the tarkov subreddit is pretty shitty about this stuff but i actually do feel like the cheating has gotten super bad. i've been 1-tapped by more mosin shots in the past month than i had in the entire year prior to this wipe trying to get rid of people buying shit for actual dollars has made the game worse for regular players :|
it's interesting the hard line bsg has taken on this. it reminds me of wow when arena first started, where they started aggressively banning account-sharing by people who wanted superior arena items. basically you would hand over your account info to the booster, and they would get you to 2200 or whatever it took for some amount of $$$. once this was fixed, the bad actors just compensated by tanking their rating and carrying people to 2200, which completely fucked anyone trying to play casually around the low ratings
They experiment every wipe with new and different stuff. It will change again soon. You used to get access to the flea at level 10. Then one wipe it changed to level 20. They’re still trying to find a sweet spot with gear and ammo progression. I just wish they could curb cheating more. It seems every wipe cheaters get bored before they get caught.
my point was just that the complaints of the top 5% or whatever were addressed, and it fucked everyone else. i don't give a shit if someone pays $20 for a mutant or whatever. if i die to it, i die. in the long run, does it really matter? no, it's just a video game. but when i have 2-3 hours after work or whatever, and i'm just getting repeatedly wrecked by cheaters using mosins while i'm trying to do the signal pt1 on shoreline, it feels like bsg is ignoring who really allowed them to raise $100mil+
I dislike cheaters and I feel like I experience one almost every night when I play, but I have no true way of knowing. I haven't PC gamed much, is there any software that actually does a good job mitigating them?
Running this game solo is a nightmare. I very rarely encounter another solo and when I do, fucking 50/50 I live.
i do way better questing alone. the group i run with has some cod players with sticky fingers, so that dictates how we roll. i play at a much slower pace by myself. could be the maps too though i guess
Shoreline, shoreline, shoreline. I need 2 more PMC kills in this damn scav vest and I’m hesitant on whether to sit at range or go shotgun and hot and heavy inside.
shoreline is just kind of a shitty map in general imo. it's like they took the cool shit from woods and made it all worse, but kept the bad parts and made them worse too
I 1-tapped a pmc inside the mall on interchange from 142 meters last night. I shot from the escalators on the outside of OLI toward the inside. This game sucks but this is why I keep coming back
Not sure what is going on right now, but have ran Factory the past night and now today... so much fun. Just a red dot, flashlight, good shotgun shells and usually 2-3 kills before death or extraction. Good way to pick up some cheap grenade kills too.
Alright, I am now torn between the SR-25 or just a shotgun. Been having so much success with the shotgun lately and it's fun as hell. Either of yall have Marked Dorm and wanna open that up for me, please?
2 nights ago I died in the most idiotic way possible and I expected it to show up on the tarkov subreddit but it didn't 3 of us were taking the woods car extract. With like 6 seconds left 2 grenades exploded at our feet from PMCs. The concussion was enough to move only me outside of the extraction area. My teammates extracted. I watched the suv drive away. I died to Sniper because I was out of bounds
Noticed my RAM was only running at 2133mhz, after blue screening trying to fix it myself, I ended up calling tech support and getting it running at 3600mhz. the difference on lighthouse is unreal. FPS never drops below 80 now even when ADS on a 6x scope. In the past I would drop to like 40-50 when scoped in.
i just had by far the worst bug since i've been playing. doing a scav run on interchange. airdrop lands on the loading platform near the railway exit (or is that emercom?). i literally can't loot it. i try for 2 minutes. going below the platform, on top of the box, knifing the box, every range, removing the silencer from my ak. nothing. some player scav with the name BidnTouchesMeTV 1-taps me with an sks. i message him. he says "thanks for the ledx, daddy"
I had the same problem 2 nights ago, dude comes right up starts looting and I tell him I can’t open it. He drops me a bunch of shit, mostly useless and then we exfil. Yours sounds brutal
My group loves customs but we're just getting blasted by people with better stuff at this point We all spawn near big red. Loot it and whatever. When we try to cross, there is a dude waiting on the near face of the hill before we cross the big bridge. He 1-taps me to the head through a ulach. 7.62x51. Then blasts my teammate with a ump with ap. He was like 10 yards away and just camping us.
I am so confused on which ammo to run. I'm decent at FPS and video games in general, but for some reason I lose a majority of gunfights when I have a teammate. Run AP ammo in UMPs, M61/M80/M993, M885A1 886A1, or whatever. I get like 1-2 hits on the thorax before getting recked all the time. At this point I'm thinking of running high fragmentation/heavy bleed rounds and going for arms/legs, but thats not very natural to me.
Oh also, was head/jaws in the little barn on Woods. I'm quietly sitting in there after hearing movement and he just walks in and domes me without me getting a shot off. Im sure it was desync, but I'm scoped in waiting and he still one taps me instantly.
Your problem is looting Big Red. If you spawn over there, get across asap. Not worth hanging around for bad loot.
played for a bit last night and this morning. the cheating is ridiculous. i went prone in a bush to answer a text and some dude rolled up and 1-tapped me from like 50 meters during that time.
Which servers do you play? I haven’t come across a cheater in awhile. Last night my buddy and I probably did 10 successful raids at night at Shoreline with NVGs
i selected the west coast ones only. maybe i just suck but it's been like 5 raids in a row where i'm dying in a spot that regular players shouldn't be looking or shouldn't be able to see me
