Lots of people to dislike that have rolled through or still work at ESPN. Kenny Mayne is a 180 from that entire list.
Quick Google says he was getting 3 million a year, seems like a lot, don't see him on air very much these days
That’s a lot of money for how much he does at this point. But one could argue when he was an ESPN workhorse he provided more value in 1 year than several shitbirds have earned in their entire career and he still isn’t making what a few of them do. (I’m a stan for Mayne. Never took himself too seriously but was always that awesome anchor of providing information & humor in sports. He realized his job wasn’t covering cancer, and as a result we all benefited)
which anchors are still left at ESPN from what could be considered a heyday? SVP John Anderson Linda Cohn? Eisen - NFL Network Patrick - radio show Olbermann - guessing a political show Mayne - cut Stu Scott - passed i'm sure i'm forgetting at least 1-2 people
He does NFL Primetime on ESPN+. He loves doing it, and the only people tuning in are the people who want to watch him.
lol this? https://www.celebritynetworth.com/r...ny Mayne net worth and,of Sports for ESPN.com. Salary: $3 Million Net Worth: $8 Million how do they know his net worth? how would someone who has a 3mil salary only have a 8mil net worth
top 3 things ESPN has are cfb, nba, and mnf rights. sucks for the guy but when you can pull up highlights on Twitter of anything you want, why watch sportscenter
I miss Sportscenter waking up in the morning and it’s up in the background. You hear about every team. I’m not on Twitter but even if I was I’m not taking the time to individually search for a team. I feel when I was younger I knew so much about all the teams in every sport because it was on and we just couldn’t google our favorite teams.
According to the Googles, he started with ESPN in 1979, is 66, and is worth 30 million. He's been there a while.
Wingo was making an absurd amount as well, ESPN bids against itself like no other. I didn't mind Mayne but so much of their "talent" thinks they're more important than the actual sports they cover.
Looked up salaries for broadcasters and Jim Rome makes the most at 30 million, and Samantha Ponder is the highest female at 4.9.
I just googled it and the first thing that popped up was $15M, with a net worth of $85M. He was probably rolling in the $$ back in the day when he was syndicated across the country with his radio show and also had the various daily TV gigs.
That's obviously beyond absurd for Rome but at least he's on the air every day. Does Ponder do any NFL stuff for ESPN during the week or is it just Sunday Countdown?
